The Melbourne Cup is held on the first Tuesday in November.
We need a celebration which brings us all together and towards the end of the summer school holidays is best.
In this way 26/1 can be left to others to celebrate or mourn in their own way.
We live in a marvellous country and we need to pull together and celebrate this with joyfulness.

Had a great meal at Little Creatures - yummy hand cut chips and watched a swirl of rain come over the Fishing Boat Harbour. This is the way for winter!

Great news!! We now manage a fantastic apartment in Cliff Street right next to the University of Notre Dame's Education faculty. Fabulous spot with all the charm of the West End but modern conveniences. Secure parking for one car.

Interesting memorial in Fremantle near the Fremantle Railway Station. I have never noticed this memorial from 1905 to two sons lost in Western Australia.
