Loads of fun, energy & laughter out on our 3 Day/2 night "Rail 2 Trail Adventure Tour" with this crew last weekend.

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail once again did not disappoint...crisp clean fresh air, amazing country pub food, tasty beer and wine and of course great chats with the locals which always made for some interesting and funny conversation.

Thanks to these amazing humans...
⭐ Jono aka "Nappy Pants P**n Star" who wanted to try every pie and sausage roll going.
⭐ Leigh aka "Weapon Miller" who just wanted to smash the whole trail non stop but had to wait for her p**n star
⭐ Kylie aka "Queen of Lollie Snake Hill" lucky she had saved one for the last climb 😁
⭐ Simone aka "Queen of imagination".... "I think that's a jockey riding a horse pointing" OR "is that a plane or a train?"

Great company and lots of laughter which is always good for the soul.

DAY 1 of 3 - "Rail 2 Trail Adventure Tour" with these first timers out on the amazing Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (BVRT)

41km done... all handled it like they'd been here before. A few laughs your pants off moments (literally), especially for Jono 🤣😳😜, as we discovered the ins and outs of the first section of the rail trail.

Crisp fresh air, amazing scenery and laughter which is good for the soul 🤣😁

Disappointing that Anthony and Nicole couldn't join us due to sudden emergency but we will be bringing another group out very soon ready for 3 days of fun, so if you're keen jump on an express your interest. 😁

Stay tuned for the next two days of antics as we explore the fun and adventure that is the BVRT!

They captured a great picture of Peter and I enjoying one of our many rides on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail ⭐⭐

🚴‍♀️ The Tweed section of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail has seen 108,829 guests visit since its opening on March 1.

The 24km Tweed section is the first stage of the project, which will eventually connect Murwillumbah and Casino.

Tweed Shire Mayor Chris Cherry the "landmark success" would "inspire confidence" for neighbouring councils who are either considering or committed to connecting to the Rail Trail.

“Connecting this project across the Northern Rivers region will enhance and connect our communities and ... further highlights the benefits of this project in terms of community wellbeing, tourism and the economy," she said.

Byron Shire Council has resolved to move forward with planning and approvals for the Rail Trail expansion extending from Mullumbimby to Crabbes Creek, encompassing the old Byron Bay station through Bangalow to Booyong.

The Richmond Valley section remains on schedule for a soft opening in December 2023.

Another 3 Day/2 Night Cycling Vacay inspired by Ryan securing a gig for their band Loose Goose to play at the Lennox Beach Hotel on Saturday night 😄🎸🎶🎤

Bit of a late start as work took precedence this morning, followed by a visit to the referendum booth 🧐 and a set up of our camping spot near Lake Ainsworth but we finally got going early arvo and headed to Ballina.

A stop at the Lennox Beach Hotel, then onto the Shaw's Hotel, Ballina. The food here was amazing....some of the best pub gmfood we've ever eaten 💚

The scenery along the way via the bike trail which pretty much follows the headland was so amazing and of course it was a ride back in the dark....lucky we have good lights 🤪

Lennox is so much bigger and vibrant then it was I used to visit here whilst at uni in Lismore 30+ yrs ago (yes I'm that old)...such a cute place with so many awesome little restaurants and cafes....I reckon we'll try these out tomorrow for brekky before our next bike adventure. 😋😋

3 day cycle weekend exploring the trails and coastal cycleways of the amazing Sunshine Coast.

Perfect sunny weather for what is the middle of winter...actually felt like summer in a singlet and bike shorts 😁

Our Seabreeze apartment at Macoola was the perfect choice right near the beach with access to everything we needed for a great weekend

Day 1 - After a nice little swag stay up in the mountains with our friends JB & Mark Thursday night, we trekked North on our bikes from Macoola to Perigian Beach. The views along the way from Point Arkwright and Coolum Beach were simply amazing. I have never seen the water so crystal clear, turtles swimming between the rocks spotted from the viewpoints all along the way.

Day 2 - We trekked 61km...South for a full day of cycling past Mooloolaba to Point Cartwright after enjoying coffee and brekky at Mudjimba by the beach, a beer at Alexandra Headland and afterwards lunch at Kawana Waters. So much to see along the way, great separated walking and cycling paths and lots of Border Collie Doggies to pat 😂😍🐺🐶

Day 3 - Started with a 6.5km run to an awesome Cuban Coffee shop followed by a fantastic cycle from Currimundi Beach along the hilly coastline path to Caloundra. Such amazing scenery and another beautiful day finished with a reward of delicious pancakes, salted caramel icecream, strawberries and maple syrup 😋
P.S - I didn't feel guilty at all after an energetic weekend away 😂😂

Another great adventure, lots of laughter, mud riding, a weee bit of bush hiking 🤣🤣 and a just a few wet clothes.

"The Amazing Race on Wheels" ...and what a race it was as we ventured from Robina Common to Pizzey Park via Lake High Muntz and culminating in a team race which saw "Santa's Single Ladies" taking out the winners medals. 🏅🏅🏅🥳

Nate, Abbie and Artharva teamed up.....Nate leading from the front and Artharva and Abbie showing some great team work at the end to get them across the line just in front of team "Think Christmas Dragons" - Jamie, Harry and Scarlett.

This Adventure program concludes our junior activities for 2021, however we already have some fantastic adventure programs in the works for the January holidays, so if you are keen... be sure to get in touch and show your interest quick as these will sell out!

Another awesome 3 days out on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail with Peter, Liam and Jess.... This time experiencing the trail in both directions. The little climb up through Benarkin Forest to Blackbutt not quite as fast as the ripping one down into Linville, but it was great to experience the trail in both directions.

Peter was definitely the flavour of the weekend with the local magpies whilst I personally maintained the theory that if you could "be ONE with nature" they would leave you alone. 🌱🦋🐓🌳 It seemed to work as we were constantly left laughing at the fettish they seemed to have for Peter and sometimes Liam as well.
I just think they like the boys more 😜🤣😂

Jess provided us with some antics as she ripped it down a curvey culvert to finish with an impressive display of athleticism, grit and a little REST at the bottom. 😜 However, after leaving some skin on the trail she dusted herself off and powered onto the Linville Hotel and then slogged it up through the Benarkin Forest 💪🚴‍♂️

Legend effort from all of us to reach Hotel Radnor, Blackbutt only 10 minutes before the cracking storm hit ⚡🌧️ Lots of fun with the publican and the locals at Hotel Radnor once again... We are starting to feel like 'locals' ourselves 🍻😍🥃

All in all... So much fun, laughter, fitness and a great birthday present to myself! 😀

If you haven't had the chance to get out to the trail you should make the time... It really is an awesome experience right on our doorstep. 💚

The Gold Coast turned on another amazing day for our "Adventure By Bike" Holiday program venturing from Miami to Tallabudgera with many stops along the way.

Loads of activities, fun and friendship along the way.

Thanks to all those parents and children who have supported our Adventure programs so far.

Our final program will take place on Wednesday 29th September. We still have as oaces available if you would like to join us.

Well... After having our"Trails 2 Adventure" program canned last week due to Covid it ultimately turned out to be the best day ever on the sunny GC with this amazing, fun and energetic crew.
😊🏃⚽🐟🌿🐚🌊🏈

Rock climbing, beach sports/games,
some marine science fun with Kaitlin, hiking, sand jumping, food, friends and of course the ultimate sand cake building competition with a Masterchef Twist... That's pretty much how we roll at ADVENTURES 2 FIT.

Looking forward to this Friday's "Adventure by Bike" expedition.

Another 3 Day Brisbane Valley Rail Trail experience but this time it was even better with Jess, and Gordy in tow.
🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴🚴‍♂️

Gordy had done parts of the trail before but this time got to experience Jen and Pete's Adventures 2 Fit version. 🚴‍♂️🍷🍺😂

Jess had never done anything like this before and absolutely nailed it 💪 laughing and smiling all the way.

Day 1 was a cracker with burgers, beer, wine and gelato followed by a 1.30am stint sharing beautiful mulled wine and various beverages with the the very funny Brett, the publican of the amazing The Radnor Hotel

Day 2 - at first a little dusty from our 'Round the fire experience' but a great brekky and coffee at the Blackbutt Cafe to fuel the body and off we tinkered through the Benarkin Forest to enjoy the sunshine from The Linville Hotel. This forest ride is my favorite part.

More pedalling, laughter, one flat tyre, a few exciting down hill/uphill experiences 🤣🤣, tunnels, lunch and drinks in Moore... We were soon at our next favorite place... The Harlin Hotel!

We hadn't even ordered drinks and here we were once again chatting and drinking with Rail Trail Ranger, Pete. Pete is an amazing guy... He manages the trail, ensures everyone is safe and is just the funniest guy ever. 😂 We couldn't believe our luck when we found ourselves drinking and sharing stories with him for the second time on the trail... So much so that we didn't want to leave 🤣🤣

However, the show must go on as Gordy was now waiting for us at the Toogoolawah Hotel, it's 4:34pm and we have to make it before dark.

A bit of a detour for Jess and Jen on leaving the Harlin Hotel brought on an ab workout of laughter like no other... Can't rely on Jess to tell me when we are going the wrong way... You might say 🙄🤣🤣🤣

Amazing scenery as we climbed the farming hills between Harlin and Toogoolawah... The cows looking at us like "idiots... they will never make Toogoolawah before dark 😂"

Belting our way into town... lights ablazing, all the drinks and good food burned off and ready for a stint at the various hotels in Toogoolawah.

What a night... The most awesome Southern fried chicken at the Exchange Hotel, a few bottles of delish red wine and the chance to mix with the rodeo young ones (what's that smell 🤧) lead to a great night/morning of fun.

Day 3 - kind of getting used to the dustiness of enjoying ourselves we fuelled up at "Have a Chat Cafe" in Toogoolawah and made our way home headed for Fernvale.

A little wavering altercation of handlebars with Jess and I just outside of Esk brought another ab workout of laughter... All the 'weirdo wolf creek looking guys' fault 🚴‍♂️🤣📸 for wanting to photographs us along the trail 🤣🤣

Esk to Coominya, to Lowood for lunch and finally finishing in Fernvale where we began Friday morning.

167km later... So much fun, fitness, laughter and memories shared between friends.... And... No e-bikes for "Team Adventures 2 Fit"
All pedal power 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴🚴‍♀️💪

So much fun.... A stop in Blackbutt to leave our gear at the Radnor Hotel and off we went to Yarraman.
An easy 21km stint for beer, burgers and gelato followed by a another 21k of fun on the way home to settle at the hotel for drinks and dinner.

Day 3 and final stint of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail today.
🚴🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🚴

Time was of the essence due to work at 4pm today, so no side tracking off to the pub, but we did enjoy some awesome food along the way.

The terrain today was much smoother then our 2 previous days and after an early night and a great brekky at the Esk Bakery, we were ready to rock'n'roll. Off we headed back towards Borallan Station😂

Pumping along to Kaitlin's playlist, more amazing scenery and cycling fun later... we finally reached the ute where we had parked it 3 days ago and thankfully it was still there. 🤪 💚

Getting back out in the countryside brought back many fond memories of our childhood growing up in the country... Cycling fun, and amazing scenery whilst meeting new and interesting people, good beer poured from the good old country pubs.... you can never beat the beer or the chit chat around the bar or the fire

This journey was an epic 3 Day adventure along an amazing Rail Trail.... Unforgetable time and laughter spent with our kids....
Memories I know they will never forget 🤣🤣 even after we're gone 💚💚
