~ Just 100 steps from my house is the stunning pastel perfection that is the Mysa Motel. & yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful host, Eliza, who gave me a tour of the motel, sharing its story and all the amazing things my guests can enjoy during their stay.

Welcome to the Mysa Motel, a seven-bedroom boutique motel in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. Mysa is Swedish for ‘cosy’ and their name is a reflection of their dream: to provide you with a cosy GC stay.

Six things you’re guaranteed to love about the Mysa Motel is their retro personality, boutique-luxe style, sustainable ethos, contactless check-in experience, iconic magnesium pool, and prime position.

Every aspect of the Mysa Motel, from the architecture and design, to the guest experience, has sustainability at the forefront. Mysa inhabits the former site of a Gold Coast institution - the Palm Trees Motel - and during their recent renovation the owners upcycled a lot of materials from the original building (like bricks & hardwood trusses), and salvaged materials (including breezeblocks, mosaic tiles and recycled composite wood) from other locations in the area to create our new home from home.

Mysa Motel is officially very high on the Little Gems list.

Hi ELW Travel Community 💕 - I’ve noticed quite a few new followers here so thought I would jump on and say hello and share a bit of info about me.

💕 I started In March 2020 ~ not the best timing wise 🤣

💕 I am an independent travel agency in affiliation with ( one of the worlds top networks of agents ) we are also members 🫶

💕 I am from Yorkshire, U.K. and have lived in Australia since 2018, I moved here after living in Maldives for 7 years 🥥

💕 My first travel job was based in Spain when i was 19 (2 years ago yes 😉)

💕 I live on the Gold Coast with my Aussie hubby & our 2 Siberian Huskies ~ Sukhoi & Dakota ( both named after planes as hubby is a pilot) 🐾

💕 To me travel isn’t just about seeing places and ticking them off a list, it’s about experiencing life through a different lens, finding adventure & connecting with the world in a way that will broaden your mind, change your heart & create amazing memories 🌴
