It was a great demonstration on the capability of the Mahindra Scorpio and the preparation of Total Driver Australia to achieve this world first.
One of our goals was to demonstrate the importance of preparation, both vehicle and environmental. So many people subscribe to all the accessories, lift kits, huge tyres, bullbars etc. They are overweight before they even begin.
There is no substitute for good technique, learning how to use the vehicle, be a part of the vehicle and letting the vehicle do all the work. 13hrs, 21m and 5 sec was an outstanding achievement as we did it unassisted, no support crews, just Ben, myself and the Mighty Mahindra Scorpio.
Our accessories were the , an outstanding piece of equipment that allowed us keep the tracks clear, and for the rubber that allowed us to operate at great speed, low pressures over extraordinary distances and temperatures.

The Mahindra Scorpio N, is now the fastest, toughest SUV to ever cross the Simpson Desert, recognised by Guinness World Records.
We did everything that everyone said not to do, for reasons they had not thought of. To put this into perspective, Mercedes took five Gwagons into the Simpson and four came back on recovery, one was a military spec.
The average person takes 4 days and three nights to make this trip, being bogged, rolling their vehicles and breaking components are key challenges that all parties face.
The recovery fee for when things go wrong out there, is $10,000 alone.
The environment is harsh and extreme.
But at the same time, it is beautiful, wonderous, peaceful and tranquil.
There is much to tell about this adventure and story. Stay tuned.

A big factor in driver behaviour is that the driving test is simply about rules. The student's focus is to just pass the driving test, and then the statistics, 1/3 will crash in their first three months of driving, are simply evidence that this approach and emphasis, is misplaced in the outcome of the ART of DRIVING.
A basic understanding of these skills, techniques in driving and a quality schools based education program, creates a whole of community approach. This is how we achieve a 400% reduction in crashes, post licence.
How did we prove this?
We gave Griffith University a sample of 1000 students. In three years, the sample group had 1 crash.
Compared to the industry standard of a 3000% increase in post licence crashes.

Another fantastic adventure with Mahindra, their vehicles, and their amazing clients.
Five days on Fraser, where we met, had our safety briefing, and took everyone across Inskip Point, where no one got bogged!!
We made our way to Eurong for Lunch and Eli Creek and stopped at the Maheno shipwreck.
From here we trekked to our camping destination of Waddy Point.
Day two we enjoyed a sensational breakfast thanks to our fantastic chefs Dee Chase and Sofia Hamilton. We then drove to Ngkyala Rocks and each one of our participants and their vehicles conquered Ngkyala without one getting bogged, stuck or needing recovery.
Such is the power of understanding how to use your 4WD, driver technique, and a touch of the right knowledge.
Lunch was a BBQ on Sandy cape, live music with Chriss Webbe, and entertainment with John Rooth, Roothy!
Dinner and a nighttime music concert were on order when we got back, all the footage going to make a music video where our clients and their cars, are the stars.
Day 3 We tracked to the Champaign pools for a magical day and finished with a beautiful sunset at Wuthumba.
Day 4 was a Fraser Island Must do, a trip inland to Lake Mackenzie, a stop at Central station and after such a long day, another sensational dinner and entertainment around the campfire with Chriss Webbe
Day 5, we raced the tide to make it back to Hook Point where we said our final goodbyes.

15 car crash on the M1, Why and how?
People do not hop into cars to crash, yet our road toll costs us over $36bn pa.
