Starting his career in motocross at the tender age of 5, it wasn’t long before Guy ‘Gee’ Greenland rode his first jet ski and started his professional career racing on the Australian National Tour at only 12 becoming the youngest pro racer to win the Australian title at the age of 14. Beginning his marine apprenticeship under 10 time Australian champion Todd Ross, Guy persisted with his racing win
ing multiply championships throughout this time before completing his qualifications in 2003. Teaming up with the Jet Ski industry Guy has been hands on with the promotion and organisation of numerous events including the Australian Nationals and Yamaha Triple Crown. Working alongside global companies such as Redbull, Quicksilver, Ripcurl and Surf Live Saving Australia at professional water sport events Guy managed the water patrol at the Billabong Pro from 2005-2007. Winning two world titles at Lake Havasu, Arizona in 2007 Guy then returned to his home shores of the Gold Coast, Australia teaming up with fellow racer James Masterton to open a Kawasaki dealership at popular surfing spot Burleigh Heads in 2008. Residing in the US for three years from 2009 and teaming up with 16 time world champion Dustin Farthing, Guy was involved in racing at multiple tour stops on the National Tour including Caiman Islands, Guadeloupe, Bahamas, New Zealand, Lake Havasu and many others. Returning to Australia in 2011 to start the promotion and organisation of watercraft events, Guy has been busy promoting the Australian Watercraft Nationals in 2012 along with training for the race season ahead. In 2012 Guys plans include riding for Yamaha and Watson Racing and will be attending the New Zealand nationals in March and Australian Nationals in April before returning to the US in May to compete in the US and Canadian tours, World Finals at Lake Havasu in October and finishing the year at the Kings Cup held in Thailand in December.
