Lewis Joseph Krebs is an acclaimed photographer with over 20 years of photography experience and “HAVE CAMERA… WILL TRAVEL” reflects his outgoing and adventurous approach to life. Lewis is passionate about using natural light, waiting patiently for life to present the best and the most spectacular images to capture.

Originally from Brisbane, Lewis started working in commercial studios on the Gold Coast in his early twenties developing a love for studio lighting practices. As his appreciation of traditional photographic techniques and principles grew, work within genres of product display, portraiture, glamour, boudoir and weddings led him to extend his portfolio and he was later offered private commissions to meet and work with some leading sport, musical and local celebrities of the times.
“I’ve grown to love what photography offers us and our culture, defining our ways and our perceptions while capturing a point in time, unable to be re-lived,” Lewis said. “The camera is our static memory and my work is part of someone’s history celebrating what they’ve built as an individual and provided within a community.”
“I’m like a child in an ever changing world - always surprised, always open to the world with a sense of honesty. Whether it be people, landscapes or animals, I love capturing what makes life so beautiful.”
Operating a freelance business on the Gold Coast, Lewis works to travel. He’s able to operate anywhere, within any realm, embracing any challenge, and living the ultimate moment. Lewis’s work has been printed in leading tourism and industry based magazines and includes Inflight Magazine, Australian National Construction Review Magazine and Airport Magazine. He has worked over seas in Fiji, New Zealand and Hawaii with a variety of commission based projects for tourism companies and small businesses, giving him time to explore the landscape and capture his own memories.
