As the year comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your ongoing support throughout 2024. It’s been a pleasure to be part of your travel journeys this year, helping to create memories that I hope you’ll cherish for years to come.

I know it’s been a challenging year for some, with illness, loss, and other difficulties. My thoughts are with those of you who have faced tough times, and I sincerely hope the holiday season brings some peace and comfort.

Looking ahead to 2025, I can’t wait to help you plan more exciting adventures and create new memories. Whether it’s a long-awaited trip or just an idea for now, I’m here to bring it to life when the time feels right. I hope the new year brings brighter days, new adventures, and plenty of joy for us all.

I’ll be working reduced hours over the festive season, but I’ll still be available to assist, especially if you’d like to take advantage of the Boxing Day and New Year’s Day sales. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The UK Government is introducing a new Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for visitors, including Australian and New Zealand passport holders, who don’t currently require a visa for short stays. This new system is part of efforts to improve border security and prevent misuse of the UK immigration system.
Key Details
• Australian and New Zealand passport holders can apply for an ETA starting November 27, 2024
• Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) will be required for travel to the UK from January 8, 2025.
• The ETA costs £10 and allows multiple visits to the UK for up to six months at a time. It will be valid for two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first.
• The ETA will be required for visits including tourism, business, visiting family and friends, short-term study and transiting through the UK.
The easiest way to apply is through the UK ETA app. Most applications will be processed within three working days, but sometimes it may take a little longer. The new system will help make travel easier while ensuring stronger security at the UK border.

If you're travelling in and out of Brisbane (my home airport) there are some exciting plans ahead. I love our International Airport but hate the security screening part of it as it is just so busy and congested all the time (it's old!) The new terminal plans look exciting and will hopefully speed everything up so you can have that farewell glass of bubbles quicker. After all, time ceases to exist in an airport and it is always 5pm somewhere!

I attended a training session yesterday on Golden Eagle Luxury Trains and all I can say is WOW!!!
