We are searching for a full time bus mechanic.
Must be trade qualified and have experience on buses.
Permanant position, with salary to be negotiated, including holidays, car and phone.
Yard location is Ipswich Qld and vehicles are a mix of Volvo and cummins powered vehicles (Mostly BLK/BCI) plus King Long.
Duties include regular routine maintenance / servicing, defect repair and clearance, brake and suspension bush repairs plus breakdown recovery should that be required.
You will be responsible for the maintencance and roadworthiness of 14 vehicles.
MR licence or higher essential to enable the abilty to road test vehicles.

WE ARE HIRING

School bus drivers required, commencing term 2 2024.
We require two school bus drivers for commencement 15/4/24
20-25 hours per week
$35 per hour
Paid weekly
Super paid weekly.
Uniform provided
Possibility to boost hours between school runs on school charters.

2. Charter drivers, casual drivers required for after school sports, seniors trips, inbound groups and general charter, tours and overnight trips. Suit semi retired coach captains or those that have charter experience and want to just do casual work.

3. Mechanic / emergency driver.
Full time position -
Duties include regular scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as preventative maintenance on our fleet of coaches.
Most coaches are cummins / allison spec with a hino and fuso thrown in for good measure.
Must be able to meet schedules and complete workload in a reasonable time.
Must be computer literate, we have insite and our maintenance system is all computer generated.
Bus experience a definite advantage. Must be trade qualified heavy vehicle mechanic.
Salary negotiable, commensurate with experience.
Must have MR licence to enable road test of vehicles.
Yard location riverview.

New seats in one of our buses. The old “leather” seats were sad and tired After being in harsh WA Mine for a few years and 12 months on a school run they were really past their best. Expensive exercise but worth it to put new life into a vehicle. Amazing difference

Autumn is here, not so hot today Sun, rain and a little more rain. In the yard today we managed to get and a little signwriting done on a school bus. No name yet, but Im sure we will come up with something. Thanks Josh for your help as usual.

We are seeking a permanant qualified bus mechanic / driver supervisor

Qualified diesel mechanic required for fleet of 12 buses. Duties include scheduled servicing and "on the go" minor defect repairs as and when required. Will be required to be working during school bus times to attend in case of breakdown or urgent repairs required.

Driver supervisor compnent requires supervision of drivers and occasional backup driving role if school bus drivers call in sick etc. plus ongoing training in response to any vehicle specific driver development issues identified.

You will be responsible for supervision of ten drivers, operating six daily school runs and charter services. We currently operate 12 vehicles.

The person we are seeking will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to liase with drivers and customers in relation to charters and variations in school runs.

Due to the nature of the industry, it is essential that you have a current MR or HR licence and a current drivers authorisation for school bus and charter operations. As per any supervisor job in the bus industry, you may be required to step in and cover charter and / or school runs due to staff illness or other reasons. Therefor it is essential that you become familiar with all the local company school runs and have good local knowledge.

This will be a salary position, with four weeks annual leave, with car and phone provided after a qualifying period. Salary to be negotiated with succesful applicant.

Position 1.
Driver - School bus / Coach Charter driver.

Due to additional school run and drivers moving on We currently have positions for 3 x school bus drivers.

20-25 hours per week, pay rate $35 per hour.
Superannuation is paid weekly.
You will get your own bus to drive so can get comfortable.
Hours generally 6.30/7am - 830/9am Monday to Friday with additional charter between runs if required.

We require multiple bus drivers for school runs.
20-25 hours per week minimum doing am and pm school runs. Usual times are 630/7am - 9am and 230-5/530pm. You will be given your own run and will have the same vehicle every day.
We also conduct charters during the day and during non school term times.
You will be based at our Goodna Yard
Opportunity to conduct local charter between school runs, making 40-50 hours per week if wanted.
Opportunity to learn or conduct long distance tours and charters as well. Our Bus drivers conduct school charter operations including Swimming shuttles, sports buses, school camps and general charter.
Seatbelted, airconditioned automatic buses, makes driving a breeze.
Would suit those starting out in the industry, semi retired or anyone who wants to put the hours in and wants to make some decent money.
There is also the opportunity for penalty rate weekend work, which we will chase if drivers want it.
