Our Story
Kokoda Campaign Tours is an Australian based company registered with the Investment Promotions Authority in Papua New Guinea and holds a commercial tour operators licence with the Kokoda Track Authority (licence number 87).
The company is led by Scott Campbell, Stuart Jonklaas.
Our PNG leed guides are the best of the best with descendants back to the Papuan Infantry Battalion, their track knowledge with a combined total in excess of 150 track crossings puts them at the top.
All current safety equipment is up to date with the latest in technology, with back to Australia contact made daily to ensure the groups progress/safety is monitored.
Our company prides itself in giving back to both the communities along the track and to charities of the groups choice with the company donating $1 per km that each person walks back to charity in either Australia or PNG. Many of our donations have supported charities such as Legacy, Beyond Blue, Starlight Foundation and the children’s orphanage at Efogi.
2017, our major fundraising will focus on the Black Dog Institute.
By participating in one of our tours you can be assured that you will make a difference to somebody’s life. That in itself makes us proud to guide people across the Kokoda Track to achieve their goals whilst helping those that need it the most.
The Kokoda track is held dear to all Australians, on our treks you will experience the raw beauty that is the Owen Stanley's, you will learn about the Campaign, you will learn the culture of the Koiari people of the Oro Province. All our legends come from Kokoda.
Our aim is to ensure all our clients go away with a true love of what was, and what is now the Kokoda track.
