was started by Nick Haddow, after he spent 10 years working with specialist cheese makers in many different countries around the world. He and his partner Leonie settled on Bruny Island in Southern Tasmania in 2001 to start making cheese for themselves. makes are very much the product of Nick's travels and training throughout the great cheese producing regions of France, Italy, Spain and the UK. T

hey are the cheeses he loves to make and eat. Nick is a traditionalist, who recognises that great cheese was made for centuries before modern technology played a role and believes passionately in the old way of making and maturing cheese. For him, cheese making is a pursuit of integrity and flavour. use both cow's and goat's milk to make its range of cheeses. The animals are farmed in an environmentally sustainable way with the focus of the farming practices on producing the best milk possible. We believe profoundly that the milk is what makes the cheese and therefore the good treatment of animals and then their milk is paramount to us.

In addition to the Super Gold and Trophy awarded to our Raw Tom at this year's World Cheese Awards, we're very pleased to announce that we also gained a Gold Medal for our 1792 washed-rind and a Bronze Medal for our Raw Milk C2.

We're thrilled to announce that Raw Tom has won a Super Gold Medal and the Trophy for Best Australian Cheese at this year's World Cheese Awards!

This is the second year in a row that we've taken out both a Super Gold and a Trophy at the World Cheese Awards after our Raw Milk C2 was recognised last year.

We're super proud of our Raw Tom, which is a true expression of its pristine Tasmanian environment. It's crafted from raw, unpasteurised milk sourced from our own small dairy farm in Glen Huon and aged for 4 months, developing a depth of flavour that’s earthy, nutty, and distinctively Tasmanian.

Feast on the Farm is our showcase of great beef and beer, all enjoyed in the idyllic setting of our Glen Huon Dairy Farm.
