Mont St Michel, Normandy.
A fascinating ancient Abbey and surrounding buildings built on a rock which is often surrounded by the sea. I took 4 travelling companions there for an overnight stay recently. It was great to watch their reactions when they saw Mont St Michel in the distance. If you’re in Normandy be sure to visit this historic place. Stay within the walls for a night to take full advantage of the photo opportunities without all the day trippers.

Forster/Tuncurry NSW is a great place to visit. A day trip from the Central Coast is very easy.
This area on the Coast is a very popular holiday destination.

Have you ever travelled on a steam train?
We took a day trip on a Picnic train recently. The steam train travelled from Maitland NSW to Dungog NSW return. An interesting trip so stay tuned as a short movie of the day will be available on Travelling with the Starrs youtube channel shortly.

Where will your next holiday be?

We’ve been in Europe for the past month holidaying and visiting old favourites and ticked a few new places off our bucket list.

An Avalon River cruisr took us from Budapest to Romania visiting Serbia and Bulgaria along the way. I booked a private 3 day tour of Brasov an amazing place in Romania and gateway to Transylvania.

Spent 6 days in Croatia before moving on to Paris, Normandy and Chantilly gathering lots of useful travel information along the way. We also took our small group to places they’d never heard of let alone dreamed of going to😄.
