Unique Experience of Dolphin Feeding at Tin Can Bay! 🐬

Have you ever been close to a dolphin? Well, Tin Can Bay is one of two places in Queensland you can still do this. Chompy, Sq**rt and Patch are our Australian Humpback Dolphins, who have been visiting us for many years in the Great Sandy Strait.

You can still get close to these playful, gorgeous mammals with the help of our trained volunteers to show you just how Patch and his family like to be fed! Come along and see for yourself! 🙌

'Queensland to a T' features over 100 unique tea towels telling the story of our sunny state from the 1950s through to now.

Gympie Regional Gallery is proud to partner with State Library of Queensland to host this special exhibition. Don't miss it 🙌

On Friday night, the iconic steam train received the Gold Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution by a Volunteer or Volunteer Group’ at the Queensland Tourism Awards, hosted by Queensland Tourism Industry Council! 🏆👏

This is a true testament to the dedication of volunteers who work tirelessly to preserve and share Gympie region’s rich history through this unique rail experience.

Congratulations to a passionate group of individuals, dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich heritage of rail experiences and the history of the Gympie region. The Mary Valley Rattler Volunteer Team have been awarded gold for ‘Outstanding Contribution by a Volunteer or Volunteer Group’!

The Gold Mining Heart of Gympie at the Museum
