It is only 1km from Halls Gap Zoo,

1.5km from Halls Gap Estate Winery or Red Rock Olives in opposite directions . Located only just over 5kms from the Halls Gap village, the friendly Visitor information centre staff are there to guide you to all the, hiking trails, walks and activities you may enjoy during your stay. There is much to see and do in Halls Gap , you will not be disappointed. On the property you will see wildlife, see and hear many bird species as on the grounds to the back and side of the property there is a bushy “Trust for Nature” corridor, plus a large dam which the many wildlife utilise. Accommodation is self cater, can sleep up to 14 with 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, laundry facilities, good cooking facilities including alfresco plus with all the space in the living areas, your time with friends and chatty conversation will be a breeze. With the house now six years old, further work to enhance the grounds of the property will continue. There is a large Springfree trampoline to keep the kiddies happy, plus games, books and free nbn wifi

Walks are open near Halls Gap and most of Wonderland Range within the Grampians National Park – including the Pinnacle (either from Halls Gap or Wonderland Car Park), Venus Baths, Grand Canyon Loop, Chatauqua Peak, Clematis Falls and Boronia Peak. ⁠

🌱 Along with Halls Gap opening today, we are so excited and thankful that some unaffected parts of The Grampians National Park will reopen this Friday 10th January at 9am.

Areas include:
💚 MacKenzie Falls
💚 Boroka Lookout
💚 Venus Baths
💚 Chatauqua Peak
💚 Adventure Trails such as Mt Zero, Hollow Mountain, Mt Stapylton
💚 Southern Walks - Signal Peak, Mt Abrupt, Mt Sturgeon

‼️ Please note that The Pinnacle, Reed Lookout and The Balconies remain closed

WE ARE OPEN!!!!
From Tuesday the 7th of January at 10am we officially reopen to visitors. It has been a long 17 days of being closed so our animals are so excited to see you all. Encounters will be up and running so please call to book or arrive early to avoid disappointment.

We know visitors are keen to get back to the lovely Halls Gap after the recent bushfire, so plans are in place to allow that to happen – but only when it is safe.

Challenging conditions are expected over the weekend with very hot, dry and windy weather forecast on both Saturday and Sunday. Thankfully, these conditions are forecast to ease Sunday evening into Monday.

If the fire remains within current containment lines and no more significant fire activity is experienced over the weekend, fire agencies are looking to re-open Halls Gap to businesses and visitors during next week.

The reopening of non-fire affected sections of the Grampians National Park will be assessed at the same time.

These decisions will be made in consultation with local councils, business and tourism groups, and Parks Victoria.

So this is what it looks like on a showery winter’s day! Green everywhere, we are almost ready to welcome back our returning visitors. Being from the city, they appreciate the green space at this time of year, as much as we do!

Ist day of summer, a little breezy yet nice!

Aah! Just spent a few peaceful moments watching dad and his young chicks. Dad didn’t seem to mind My question is: if emus mate for life, does mum take a holiday when it’s time to raise their chicks? 😆

When guests are away, the locals play! 😬

Dad and the kids still here.. arriving in Feb they disappeared for a while in July however soon found their way back, that’s almost nine months to watch them grow.. sweet!

How’s the serenity? Perfect spring afternoon..

Growing up so fast, they arrived end of summer..

This little family has been around all week.. Wandering in, in the morning and out again at end of day..
