Today was the day for Moonshadow III to make another important voyage, leaving Crowdy Harbour and crossing the bar to Harrington Marina. Perfect conditions with calm seas and a rising high tide made this possible. Special thanks to Dax from Vaporcats for charting the channel and a massive thank you to all of our staff, contractors and especially Daniel Brown in his great assistance skippering this voyage.
Keep an eye out as this beautiful timber boat moored at the Marina receives a facelift and is renamed in readiness for some river cruising!
Welcome Pelican 1
The boat formally known as the Moonshadow III is now moored at Crowdy Bay.
The boat will be receiving a facelift and renamed while she is at Crowdy Head over the next few months awaiting appropriate conditions to enter the river.
The Pelican 1 is the first of a fleet being brought into Harrington by the owners of Harrington Adventure (Candor Care PTY LTD) to improve tourism and social services in the area.
Priority access to the boats will be given to Club Candor Members however they will also be available for the use of the general public.
Follow our page for updates on the progress of this project.
Unfortunately the beach is now closed this morning as the surf gets larger and more dangerous.
Head down to the river for some safer fun π
