Due to the forecast of bad weather and rough seas, the ship's Captain and crew made the decision not to sail up the east coast to Napier and Gisbourne.

Instead we had a sea (work) day travelling up the west coast and around to the Bay of Islands where we spent today, capping the day off with a mixology class at the S.A.L.T Bar onboard.

It was definitely the right call as we have had nothing but sunshine since.

On Tuesday we were in wet Wellington as opposed to the usually windy Wellington.

Unperturbed, we soldiered on and took the cable car up to the Botanic Gardens for a bird's eye view before the rain set in.

We then wandered around to the Te Papa museum which is an amazing building.

The day was capped off with champagne, canapes and cavier in our suiteπŸ₯‚

NEW PLYMOUTH: Was surprisingly larger than I thought it would be bit still a lovely seaside town (almost city) with a great market and blacksand beaches where families seemed to flock to. Good walking and bike tracks for the more adventurous.

Mt Taranaki also made an appearance from behind the clouds for us.

I think I am wearing out Granny Rose (my mum) with all the walking we are doing. However we are well compensated with great food and drinks at the end of the day.

Yesterday we stopped the day off with a cooking class and a great revival show in the theatre.
