Sarah here!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Would you be surprised to know that I was a Nurse before I was a photographer? It's true!! Nursing quickly gave way to a design and production career before turning to photography.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I began photographing babies around 13 years ago, starting off capturing babies in hospitals (sometimes up to 6 a day) and have had the privilege of meeting over 1000 gorgeous little bubbas during that time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've always been drawn to simple, clean setups. Babies are gorgeous enough!! Those perfectly tiny fingers and toes, button noses, that fine dusting of hair on their ears and shoulders, the rolls, and bow shaped lips.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There have been SO many standout moments, but my favourites are always the genuine moments captured.

Yesterday we headed out to capture some of the devastation from the recent bushfires in our area in the Blue Mountains. Our aim is to revisit every couple of months over the next year or so to watch the land regenerate. It was overwhelming to witness first hand the destruction of rainforests, homes and our native bush. To stand in amongst blackened ancient trees in the silence. Tears were shed.
