Getting jigging with fishing in Hervey Bay is a awsome way too target Queenfish, Mackerel, Golden Trevally etc.
Young Jaxon got amongst the Queenfish and Mackerel. The adults gave up jigging but the young fella caught heaps of good fish. These are his standout Queenfish.

Here's a bit of a cool tale/tail 🤣
Barramundi Cod apparently mate in a pair for life and choose a spot to live. I fished this rock years ago and caught what I strongly believe is this same Barra Cod with its little wonky tail fin.
We also caught its mate by accident and both were released successfully 👍
Over the course of the charter we actually caught 3 and a half of them.( bloody Sharks ate the other half and another 50 + other fish today) The Sharks were hungry on every spot and we moved heaps to avoid them as much as possible. But secured a nice catch.
The Barry's are a very uncommon catch in Hervey Bay so it was great to see there's a few around.

Hi all I had a quick 2hrs to chuck the boat in and go chase some fresh fish for dinner. Decky number 1 Stevo was at the gate as I drove out and away we went. We didn't have long so we dropped onto a spot not far out that we haven't fished in a long time and got a few then bolted back home. Yahoooo!!! Fresh fish 😁 Let's Go Fishing!!!! Just a quick shout out to Stuart Ross for the long handled SS de-hookers.These tools are a must if releasing Spanish Mackerel so you don't loose your fingers or have too deal with the Spanish with pliers. Hi all The first sea trial in the Noosa Cat was a success, she handled the conditions amazingly and we caught enough fish and bagged out on Spanish Mackerel and released plenty. Hi all If you asked me too eat Mactunas a year ago I would have said yuk it's bait or catfood🤣🤣🤣 Now after learning how to bleed,brine, cut and how to do sashimi and ceviche it's a amazing fish to eat. Wowwwww!!! If you know someone how too prep it properly then I recommend giving it a serious go. 😁 #bobnabout

Hi all please tap the post to enlarge the video😃 Wowwwww!!! What a extremely lucky catch. Sometimes you just have luck on your side. This Cobia previously ate half a pilchard on 2 x 3/0 hooks and broke of the line. 20 minutes later it must have been cruising around under the boat and another line jagged the trailing sinker. After a long battle on light tackle it was boated and it could have gotten away so easily at any time.
