Yesterday (29/6/25) marked our final Dolphin Eco Adventure for the season before we switch gears to our Exclusive Whale Encounters commencing 12 July. After searching high and low all morning with no dolphin luck, we had almost called it a day when a distant blow caught our attention. It wasn’t a dolphin—but no one was disappointed! A beautiful Humpback Whale treated us to some impressive peduncle throws and pec slaps. And just when we thought the dolphins had eluded us — a cheeky lone dolphin popped up to say goodbye while we were watching the whale. What a way to wrap up the season! Bring on Whale Season 2025 🐋🐳

Yesterday's (28/6/25) Dolphin Eco Adventure gave us a lovely contrast in dolphin behaviour! First we watched the Australian Humpback Dolphins gliding calmly through the shallows beside Big Woody Island, before coming across the Bottlenose Dolphins who were full of energy and busily going about their morning.

We were treated to the trifecta (and then some!) on Monday's (23/6/25) Dolphin Eco Adventure. First up, a pod of around 10-12 Bottlenose Dolphins, with the youngsters in the pod having a play. Next, was the Australian Humpback Dolphins, followed by a special sighting of about 8 Dugongs, including a mum and calf. Just when we thought the morning couldn’t get any better, we spotted a Humpback whale calmly making its way down the channel - the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable morning on the water. 🐬🐋

An epic Saturday morning on the water and an unexpected surprise to top it off! 🐋
After already spotting our Big 3 for the day - Bottlenose Dolphins, Australian Humpback Dolphins, and a herd of about 14 Dugongs, we were incredibly lucky to also encounter two Humpback Whales. 🐋
While the odd whale does wander into the bay before the season officially begins, it’s always a special moment when they do appear. One of the whales was quite active with numerous peduncle throws and half breaches. 🐋🐋
