What a difference a day can make. Wonderful to see the sun after all the rain in Hervey Bay. Thinking of all those people who were affected and hoping for brighter days ahead.

Good to get out on the water on Sunday 16th of March and see some of our aquatic friends
On Monday the local pod of Australia Humpback dolphins showed us their brand new baby, maybe only 1 to 3 days old
Looking forward to seeing the little one grow

Saturday’s (15/2/25) Dolphin Eco Adventure came with a few showers, but our patience paid off and we were lucky to visit with the local Bottlenose dolphins once the showers cleared! By the afternoon, it felt like a whole new day for our private charter, complete with a special dugong sighting while we anchored for a swim.

Thursday (13/2/25) morning on the water turned out to be one of those incredible mornings where we were lucky to see both species of dolphins and one of the biggest Dugongs we have ever seen. As we were watching some Bottlenose dolphins heading north along the channel beside k'gari (Fraser Island) we spotted the huge Dugong take a couple of breaths and do a beautiful fluke up dive. We headed in to have a refreshing swim in the shallows beside K'gari and spotted some of our favourite Australian Humpback dolphins before heading back to the marina.

We caught up with the local Bottlenose dolphins on Saturday (8/2/25) morning's Dolphin Eco Adventure who were busy catching breakfast. It was good to see Puzzle and her calf among them - great to see them doing well. After a quick visit we left them to continue undisturbed as we dont like to stay too long and intefere with their hunting. On our way home we spotted a White-bellied Sea Eagle feasting on a fish head along the shores of K'gari (Fraser Island).
