Hereโ€™s the footage of our dance last weekend, the kids done so awesome!
Big shoutout to all our parents, grandparents, Auntyโ€™s and Uncles who helped make this happen, and Leon Davis who gave us this opportunity. Although it was disappointing not to be shown on the broadcast at the time, this was a fantastic experience for the group and one the kids will remember for sure.
Thanks again to Leon and the Collingwood Football Club

Was great to be invited to dance for the Atlantic Fellows yesterday, some of our young leaders have really stepped it up the past few months and itโ€™s been great timing with a few new dancers coming on board as well!

What a day and night it was on Saturday!

A few thank you's to everyone who made the day so special...

A massive thank you to everyone who showed up and supported this year's festival. We hope you had the best day.

Pierce Brothers, Bones and Jones, That Gold Street Sound, Little Georgia, Jade Alice, Trish + Isaac and Kinnon were amazing and well-worth the wait!

We were blown away by our Emerging Talent Evie Mae Music, Matt Lenehan Music and our winner Gabby Steel Music.

Performances by Koondoom Yarkeen Karweeyn and Matilda Allen brought something truly special to the day.

Shout out to our MC Liam Fitzgerald who did a fantastic job!

A big thank you to our vendors - food, arts & crafts and the community bar run by local sporting clubs.

And finally, to our volunteers, we can't thank you enough. Whether it's entertaining the kids, driving the shuttle bus about town, directing parking, selling tickets at the gate, helping with set up and pack down and all the little jobs in between, we appreciate you!

Event photos coming soon...

Canโ€™t wait for today!

Opening this year's festival will be dancers from Koondoom Yarkeen Karweeyn - a local Gunditjmara dance group made up from descendants of the Kerrup Gunditj clan from South West Victoria.

Previously known as the Winda Mara Dance Group, they have been around for over 30 years and continue to share and display their ongoing connection to their Ancestors, Songlines, Culture and Traditions in an ever changing modern world.

Utilising the Dhauwurd Wurrung language, they showcase stories passed down, traded and created to keep those connections thriving for generations to come.

Koolang Moothang is the aboriginal word for the flower from the blackwood tree in the Dhauwurd Wurrung dialect in the Gunditjmara Nation from South West Victoria. The Victorian blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon) had many great uses for the Gunditjmara people and was very valued and versatile.
