Growing strong with dad: Lion-cub love.

Male/ dominant lions primarily protect and defend the pride's territory, indirectly ensuring the safety of their cubs. They do not provide direct care, such as feeding or grooming, which is the responsibility of the lionesses. However, under the watchful and generally tolerant eye of the adult male, cubs engage in playful interactions with them.

Commonly found in Uganda in Murchison, Kidepo, and Queen Elizabeth national parks, take time and visit these wild kings with us.

Did you know, tree climbing lions are not a special breed of lions?

They are named so because it is unusual for lions to climb trees. They do so for various reasons and in a way, helping them adapt to their environment. They climb to evade insects, cool off, and sight prey. Lions with this kind of behaviour can be found in Queen Elizabeth National Park of Uganda and in Lake Manyara National Park of Tanzania.

Resilient hunters.

Among the most common carnivores across the Savannah, the hyena’s hunting strategy helps preserve its life in the wild. Tiring out the prey by chasing it at a steady pace before eating it while it's still alive. As harsh as it might be, they help control herbivore populations and also do a good clean up job as they eat prey and carrion thoroughly, including the bones- preventing disease spread and ensuring ecological balance.

Visit the Savannah with us and watch them go about their life in the wild.
