An intimate setting for 12 people in the showroom with a changing set menu of 18 delicious morsels of the best of Tasmania’s seasonal produce on offer paired with beverages. I was sufficiently satisfied!

As the name of the restaurant suggests, to wholeheartedly look after guests - no hiding, no pretending. Lachlan and Sophie, you certainly have!

Season’s greetings to you all from Yacht Services Tasmania. I will finish off the year in hectic style by competing in the Melbourne to Hobart “Westcoaster”. A 435nm jaunt across Bass Strait and down the west coast of Tassie where we meet up with the other yachts competing in the Sydney to Hobart and Launceston to Hobart on the River Derwent - Yes, there are three races!

It’s always good to keep up-to-date with sea safety when you’re out on the water. Whether you’re a cruising sailor or racing offshore, you should be able to demonstrate an understanding of what is required in terms of the safety of all onboard and the vessel.

YST Principal and former Superyacht Stew, Cynthia has recently completed the Safety & Sea Survival Course in preparation for the 50th Melbourne to Hobart in December.

Tonight, she will be racing on Cromarty Magellan in the 75th TasPorts Maria Island Race. Good luck!

The OFF Season during the southern hemisphere’s winter is a great time to visit Tasmania. There is Dark M**o and the many art installations scattered across the city; the visual spectacle of Spectra, a large-scale light feature beaming into space at MONA; the delectable Winter Feast showcasing the best local produce; and coming up in July, the Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival with its very own burning man! Tasmania - get off the beaten track during The OFF Season.

It was great to attend the ASMEX 2022 Conference at Sanctuary Cove. A fantastic opportunity to meet industry experts and understand their speciality fields. This year’s theme, “Reconnecting With The World” reinforced my decision to establish Yacht Services Tasmania as the agency representing the island off a big island continent that is open and ready for business! Excited that is attending The Australian Superyacht, Marine Export and Commercial Industry (ASMEX) Conference at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort

Now that we are finally open to the world again, we can assess the benefits of the Special Recreational Vessel (SRV) Act 2019 that accommodates the importation of vessels to Australian waters and aim to see increased visitation with Australia’s appeal as a hot destination for luxury superyachts.
