Update on 491/190 Nominations!

Subclass 190:
As of 9th May, Out of 1100, 959 invitations have been issued for 190 quotas this financial year, with 141 quotas remaining and about 500 applications yet to be determined.

Subclass 491:
Out of 2200, 1,669 invitations have been issued for the subclass 491 quotas in this financial year, with the remaining 531 quotas and about 750 unprocessed applications. 491 has already started issuing non-priority processing applications.

The overall success rate for state guarantees is approximately 82%.
The state government has not yet received the quota for the new financial year, and the new financial year policy is also expected to be introduced by the end of June.

The state government also emphasized that this new policy change is intended to make the state guarantee policy more objective and clear, not to make the policy more difficult.

Update on 190 and 491 Quota.

Tasmania has a total quota of 3300 for 190 and 491, and a quota of 2,084 has been issued so far!

190 quota has a total of 1100, 785 have been used, and about 600 applications are pending.

491 quota totals number was 2200, 1299 have been used, and about 840 applications are pending.

The state government has cleared applications lodged before September 29.
According to the official statistics of the state government, the success rate of state guarantees in Tasmania is about 80%.

Covid-19 Pandemic Event (Subclass 408) Visa.

Temporary visa holders working in any industry in Australia will have the opportunity to apply for a 6/12-month 408 visa. The people who can apply include 1. Temporary visa holders who were in Australia before February 21, 2022.

2. Temporary visa holders who entered after February 21, 2022, and senior citizens with federal government funding at the time of application.

Applicants working in key fields (including Agriculture, food processing, health care, aged care, disability care, child care, tourism, and hospitality) can obtain visas of up to 12 months, and applicants working in any other field will be able to extend 6 months.

Update regarding Tasmania 190/491 quota and application update.

The Tasmanian policy continues to be stable and positive, and will strive for more quotas.

Tasmania has a total of 3300 quotas this financial year, including 1100 of 190 and 2200 for 491. As of February 7, the number of applications received and invitations issued are as follows:
​🔸️The total number of invitations received is 3018, of which 1250 are 190 applications and 1768 are 491 applications.

​🔸️A total of 1907 invitations were issued, including 678 of 190 and 1229 491, 422 remaining quota of 190, and 971 remaining quota of 491.

​🔸️The current backlog of applications is about 1320, including 540 for190 and 780 for 491.
At present, the overall success rate of state guarantees is about 75%. The state government will apply for more quotas with the DoHA in the near future.

The Tasmanian welcomes everyone to come! The Tasmanian policy continues to be favourable. In the future,190 may be able to relax the residence time in Tasmania for two years after being invited!
