A rainy day
Rainy days on Mt. Wellington are pure magic. đ§ď¸ Driving into the clouds, we were treated to cascading waterfalls and a landscape brought to life by the rain. The earth soaked up the moisture, and every detail around us glistened in the mist. Who says rainy days canât be perfect for exploring?â

Itâs Wombat Wednesday and we thought we would share some of our experiences when we visit Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary .
Isnât this a face that makes your heart just melt? Dewey is the newest member of the @bonorong family.
Little Dewey is a 6-7 month old bear-nosed wombat. Dewey was found wandering on the side of the road without his mum.
His love language is cuddles. He leaves the comfort of his blankets whenever someone walks by, thinking itâs time for a cuddle from the keepers.
You can meet little Dewey and the other members of the family yourself if you do a tour with @
Check the website for details.

We had an incredible encounter today during our Russell Falls tour when we saw a Lyrebird.
Lyrebirds were introduced to Tasmania in the 1930s and 1940s due to concerns that the species might go extinct on the mainland because of habitat clearing, cats, and especially foxes.
An interesting study conducted in the late 1980s revealed that Lyrebirds in Tasmania were still repeating bird calls from mainland species that don't occur in Tasmania, even after 50 years.
This is because young males learn these calls from the adults, so the calls of the original introduced birds have been passed down through the years. As a result, the calls of endemic Tasmanian bird species are now mixed in with those of mainland species.
Isnât that fascinating?
