On our Deep To Dish lunch cruise, guests have the chance to taste sea urchin, freshly caught by our divers right before your eyes! Known as uni in Japan (where it's a prized delicacy) and often dubbed the 'foie gras of the sea', sea urchins offer a rich source of omega-3s and protein, along with a distinct buttery, umami flavor. Pictured here served with sticky rice - while our current menu offers up urchin served in three different ways. You can't beat them fresh and raw, capturing the ocean's essence in every bite 🤤

We want to share a recent review: "Never ever have we come away with such a regret to leave a tour!! What a day! 4.5hrs of relaxation, great crew who answered questions and went out of their way to ensure the passengers received the best! I've never had sea urchin before and to have them picked freshly from the sea we could not get fresher! What a surprise! So wonderful and now a new favourite on my seafood list. The salmon served on salt blocks was also marvellous! It was so good I was truly disappointed when it came to an end! The crew are wonderful, the food surpassed gourmet with quality and presentation. I am going to be talking about this great day for a long time and will recommend it to everyone. It might be restricted by cost as a once in a lifetime experience, but should not be missed."

Tasmanian Wild Seafood Adventures

Born from a love of Tasmania’s pristine waterways, the fishing and boating industries and the desire to provide an authentic seafood experience, Tasmanian Wild Seafood Adventures offers a range of boutique and authentic Tasmanian experiences that are delivered with outstanding expertise and knowledge of Australia’s southernmost state.

The idea to establish a culinary seafood offering that provided others with the opportunity to sample Tasmania’s freshest seafood straight from the source, came from the very heart of TWSA – a conversation amongst friends on a commercial diving trip south of Fluted Cape on Bruny Island. With many memories made upon the sea, Shane Wilson and Nick Daft, both expert skippers and fisherman, felt compelled to create an experience that allowed them to share their love of the ocean and seafood with others.

“We live and breathe the ‘Deep-to-Dish’ ethos – the freshest wild seafood caught and cooked before your eyes” says TWSA Co-Founder, Shane Wilson. “Having seen the freshest seafood across several sectors all go into export around the globe, Nick and I formulated the idea to share our world-class seafood with inbound tourists. Instead of taking the product to the consumers we want to bring the consumers directly to the source of the product.”

With a deep connection to the ocean and the industry, TWSA offers a “Deep-to-Dish: Tasmanian Seafood Experience” which is their signature half-day culinary seafood tour operating out of Hobart. We also offer both full and half day fishing charter experiences from Swansea on Tasmania’s East Coast. The charters will allow guests to experience and fish some of the most fertile fishing grounds in the world whilst being guided by expert local skippers onboard a custom built fishing vessel.
