On the road to Richmond with four cruise ship passengers from Boston. They commented on how it was unusual to see both square and round bales in the same paddock. Being agriculturally-challenged, I suggested that the round ones were made by descendants of Oliver Cromwell, whilst the square ones came from wombats.

Have lived in Tasmania for more than 40 years but am still surprised with new experiences. After dropping off a Maria Island tour group I explored the Wielangta Rd and Three Thumbs lookout and returned to Orford via Rheban Road. Highly recommended (:

It's great to start seeing Covid in the rear vision mirror at last and the slow return to business as usual; including tours to Bruny Island, oysters, cheese, the Neck lookout and blue gin at the House of whisky!

Shene distillery may be temporarily closed but 10 minutes up the road the old Kempton distillery is doing a great job with cellar door tastings, as John and his friend Landis discovered yesterday. When Shane reopens and the new Carrington Mill distillery at Oatlands opens, I think there is real potential for a new whisky trail from Hobart, especially if Nantt at Bothwell were to join in.
