Whale Point Expansion

Huon last week announced plans for a $110 million RAS at our Whale Point site, in southern Tasmania.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us to announce this significant investment in regional Tasmania, including Minister Eric Abetz, BC Electrical, Billund Aquaculture and local Port Huon businesses.

Macquarie Harbour Oxygenation Project
As custodians of our environment, Huon is committed to raising salmon responsibly, today and always.
Weโre proud to be a part of the Macquarie Harbour Oxygenation Project alongside Salmon Tasmania. The project is a major contribution from the Tasmanian salmon industry towards conservation recovery efforts for the Maugean skate.
EPA reports show dissolved oxygen levels in the harbour are improving, and Director Wes Ford said heโs cautiously optimistic that environmental conditions in Macquarie Harbour are improving.

National Road Safety Week
Every year, approximately 1200 people are killed and another 40,000 are seriously injured on Australian roads.
This National Road Safety Week we're ensuring our staff are taking care on Tasmanian roads to prevent these numbers growing.
We all have a part to play in road safety, by removing distractions and not putting other people at risk by speeding, driving while tired or under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
