What a shiny new ship! The brand new Viking Neptune docked into Hobart today and we were privileged to be the first stop in Australia on their world cruise!

Thank you to our lovely guests from the ship who joined us on a very busy day in the city with the Salamanca Markets, the Wooden Boat Festival and the Hobart Pride Parade.

Some days this is what we look like by the end of a tour. Dripping wet but happy!
Had a wonderful fully booked Hobart History People and Places Tour this morning, the sky opened up and rained the whole time. Nothing can dampen our love of history and sharing this with visitors. Thanks to those who also brave the weather to join us on these tours. 🌧️

At Hobart Walking Tours, we love sharing our wonderful city with locals and visitors alike. To ensure that this is the most comfortable experience for everyone, our tours have always consisted of small group sizes. That will never change! What you may notice is that our guides may pop on masks, especially walking between locations, ask for more distance between themselves and the group and a wave hello and goodbye rather than a handshake. Please know that we do none of these things to offend! We are ensuring that not only our guides stay safe but also you and your family, our families and the Hobart community as a whole. While at this stage masks are not required to be worn outside, you are more than welcome to wear one through the tour and our guides may decide to as well. Please bear with us while we adjust to this new time in our operation. If we can help in anyway, please get in touch. We can also operate private tours for those who would like a walk to yourselves. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to taking many more guests on a walk through our beautiful city.

Absolutely could not have asked for a better night on Friday for our Hobart's Dark Past tour. Incredibly clear and still night. We are very lucky to have this as our office.

Also had some lovely guests who reconnected after knowing each other when they were teenagers. Only in Hobart!
