Established in 1996, we’ve become Tassie's sea kayaking specialists. Our half day, full day and multi-day kayaking tours, as well as instructional lessons, cater for all experience levels and timeframes. Adventure with us on a
premium sea-kayaking eco-tour into the spectacular Bathurst Harbour and Port Davey in Tasmania's Wilderness World Heritage Area. This is a sea-kayaker's paradise, with a combination of sheltered wilderness harbours, rugged ocean coastlines, remote islands and wild rivers. On Flinders Island we paddle to offshore islands and into secluded coves, slipping quietly between beautiful orange granite boulders. The water is so clear that you'll see sand ripples, swaying kelp and fish in abundance. Closer to Hobart the popular day tours explore the dramatic coastlines of the Tasman and Tinderbox peninsulas, kayaking among sea cliffs, sea caves, shipwrecks and wildlife. For a different perspective on Hobart's vibrant waterfront, join us on a 2.5-hour paddle and weave among the yachts, tall ships, fishing boats and cruise ships of this beautiful harbour then tuck into a snack of fish and chips whilst still afloat.

Leatherwood - Eucryphia lucida
The leatherwood is named for its small, leathery leaves. It’s well known for its distinctive tasting honey produced from the nectar of its’ delicate white flowers. During the warmer months of December and January, the flowers can cover the whole tree in a white cloak. As winds whip around these trees, their petals fall like snow on the dark tannin waters of the Gordon River and surrounds.
We only have a few spots left on our December 8th Gordon River Expedition. Come join us!

Would you let the intrusive thought win? 🤔
Nothing like giving your paddle buddy a refreshing dip under a West Coast waterfall.

An awesome look into the dark waters of the Bathurst Harbour and Channel we paddle on during our South West Expeditions!
We love talking about this incredibly unique waterway and imagining what lays beneath the tannin stained waters as we cruise along its surface.
The Port Davey Marine Reserve is an absolute highlight of this rugged, remote area of Tasmania and crucial to preserve.

With 3, the Sarah's were well represented on this kayak trip to Flinders Island.
The beautiful weather allowed us to explore many coastlines while we used the bass strait currents and light winds to our advantage.
When the winds rose, we went looking for the elusive Killiecrankie diamond. One or two may or may not have been found. (Don't tell the wombat).
Other highlights included trying to learn an Eskimo roll, rock gardening, the many swims, morning yoga and delicious local food!
Overall we couldn't have asked for a better group to close out our guiding season. Thanks so much for everything.

Great group of local and interstate paddlers this morning and what a day to be out on the water!
Thanks crew for lovely morning!

As luck would have it, Mother Nature was on our side, gifting us with a perfect weather window. The swells rose to a thrilling 3 meters, yet the winds remained gentle whispers, and the sun graced us with its warm presence. These ideal conditions allowed our group to traverse an impressive 100 kilometers of scenic waterways, from the rugged beauty of Spain Bay to the serene seclusion of Bond Bay.
With daylight in short supply, we seized every moment, paddling through the crisp mornings and into the amber glow of sunset. Our laughter became the soundtrack of the journey, echoing over the waters, as we took every opportunity to dive into the cool embrace of the sea whenever the sun deemed us worthy of its rays.
Perhaps the most enchanting experience was gliding through Bathurst Channel, where the world around us transformed into a mirrored realm. The mountains and clouds, in their regal stillness, were reflected so perfectly that it was hard to tell where the water ended and the sky began. It was a dance of nature's artistry, so captivating that we struggled to keep our paddles moving through the glassy calm on our approach to Celery Top Island.
Enduring friendships were formed, a testament to the diverse and wonderful crew that joined us from corners of the globe – Hong Kong, Canada, Tasmania, Gold Coast, and South Africa. Each person brought their own stories, humor, and warmth, enriching the journey beyond measure.
Thank you for a great trip and an end to our season in the SW of Tassie!- Tory and Rob
