Last month, our very own owner, Patrick, jetted off to London to attend the UK/Europe Marketplace Event! This incredible gathering brought together inbound tour operators from across the country, creating the perfect opportunity to build strong connections and share Tassie Tours Tasmania with a global audience.

Joining Patrick in representing Tasmania were Tourism Tasmania and the West Coast Wilderness Railway, showcasing the best of what our beautiful island has to offer. The event was a resounding success, with a fantastic mix of hard work and a bit of fun thrown in for good measure.

The caves were first discovered in 1917 by timber workers who stumbled upon the entrance when a tree fell over it. Imagine these early explorers venturing inside with their basic lamps, what must they have thought?

Inside, marvel at stunning formations: stalactites, stalagmites, columns, shawls, and rare helictites. Some formations, like “Jabba the Hut” and “ET,” are humorously named, and it’s easy to see why when they’re illuminated!

Our business manager, Ethan, travelled to Perth, Australia last week for G’day Australia, a specialised training workshop and familiarisation event, held exclusively for Aussie specialist agents from retail outlets and key wholesalers/tour operators from all of Tourism Australia’s key markets.

Following this event, Tassie Tours hosted a post-familiarisation program here in Hobart, showcasing the best of our state. Overall, the event was a great success, and we’re proud to be a part of this program. See you next time G’Day! 🦘
