Since its inception in 1994, the Inverloch Jazz Festival has been a beloved event, attracting jazz enthusiasts and performers from across Australia. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2024 and with an exciting line up of outstanding musicians and bands including exceptional emerging young talent the festival promises to be an unforgettable experience from Friday, August 2nd to Sunday, August 4th. The program is spread across five fabulous indoor venues, all within walking distances of each other and you have the option to purchase full event or show specific tickets.

Festival Overview:
Duration: Two days and two evenings of non-stop music
Performers: 45 bands, 15 new to the festival and 150 artists from all over Australia, including three new acts emerging from the Monash University’s music faculty and its acclaimed jazz stream.
Genres: Ranges from traditional to contemporary, Latin and funk-style jazz

Ladies be Good! will bring sets that leave you happily wanting more. With stunning vocals, interesting arrangements and talented musicians, combining youth and experience they love what they do and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

Classica Jazz Fanatics will love this one ....
Anything Goes! is very successful and popular band, appearing regularly at numerous festivals and jazz clubs, including Melbourne’s well-known Paris Cat jazz club. The show is professionally scored for the sextet by Mark Morand and is bursting with classic songs that everybody loves!

The Inverloch Tourism Association is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Inverloch Equinox Festival afternoon/ Twilight Market Stalls.

🎉 What: Twilight Market at the Awesome Autumn Equinox Festival celebrating HARVEST, NATURE and WELLBEING within the unique South Gippsland Coastal Region by Day and Night.

📍Where: Incredible Inverloch.

⏰When: Sat 22nd March 2025. The Autumn Equinox – Equal Day & Night.

🤝Who: Enthusiastic Market Stall Holders and Food Vendors who can provide goods & services that embody the essence of the festival such as (but not limited to):

🍓🥯Harvest : Fresh produce, handmade preserves, artisanal breads, baked goods and artisan beverages
🕯️🧶😃Wellness: Natural health products, organic skincare, holistic remedies, wellness services, art, craft, treatments and therapies that make us laugh and smile
🍃🍁Nature: Eco-friendly & natural products and art, nature experiences and sustainable living information and services

👋🇦🇺Products and services that are; hand - made, grown or cooked; sourced from the Gippsland region; made in Australia; promote local craftsmanship and sustainability; and do not compete with existing Inverloch businesses will be favoured.

💰How Much: $75 payable upon acceptance of application.

The new stage 3 tax cuts are here, putting extra cash back in the pockets of more Australians! 💵

Here’s what you need to know:

🔹 Tax Rate Reduction: Australians earning between $18,200 and $45,000 will see their tax rate drop from 19% to 16%, saving up to $800 a year.

🔹 37% Tax Bracket Preserved: This bracket will now apply to those earning between $135,000 and $190,000, unlike the previous plan to remove it entirely.

🔹 Top Tax Threshold Lowered: The threshold for the highest tax bracket will be lowered from $200,000 to $190,000+.

These changes will benefit first home buyers, borrowers, and homeowners by increasing borrowing power, boosting deposit savings, easing mortgage repayments, and improving serviceability calculations. The most significant benefits will be for those in lower and middle-income brackets, while higher earners will see smaller cuts than previously legislated.

The next BIG thing for Inverloch is in the planning phase and we want all local business and community groups to get involved!

🍂🍁The Inverloch Autumn Equinox Festival will be a vibrant celebration of HARVEST, NATURE and WELLNESS capturing the essence of Inverloch and surrounding regions by day and by night. Marking the Autumn Equinox visitors and local community will expect to celebrate local produce by feasting on autumn harvests, laugh 🤣and learn in the name of wellness as they participate in interactive arts, nature and wellbeing based workshops and be entertained by diverse street performers.

The festival will be a 2 night and 2 day event in collaboration with Bass Coast Shire Council, Destination Gippsland and 🍷Wine Gippsland aimed at connecting community and local businesses and bringing tourism to our town during a traditionally quieter time of the year.

Eagles Nest is an exceptional spot for whale watching during their winter migration, thanks to its elevated position and expansive coastal views. As whales journey along the coast, they often pass close to Inverloch, making it an ideal location to catch a glimpse of these magnificent creatures. By stopping to look out at the water, you increase your chances of spotting whales breaching or spouting and if there are no whales, just take the moment to breathe in that sea air.
