Haven’t posted on here for a while but the travelling hasn’t stopped.

First few days away at Kingscliff.

Rain and more rain, small trips to the beach and Cudgen Creek, fun in the new van and at the caravan park Ingenia Holiday Parks and a sneaky Pina Colada thrown in there. Successful start to our 5 week road trip.

Time for another adventure. This time tripping down to Northern NSW.

First stop Tweed Heads followed by South West Rocks then onto Coffs Harbour for Christmas finishing with Casino for a touch of rural on the way back.

So good to get back in the van and this time, not have a broken foot on our Christmas adventures.

Foxbar Falls 🍃⛺️🔥🍻

Second trip out to and it didn’t disappoint. Despite a bit of rain and some cool weather, we had a cracking long weekend away with mates. Plenty of laughs, good times and drinks.

Day at the beach followed by a trip up to the Lighthouse and Giants Causeway to see a pod of dolphins swim by. More memories made with my girls. Another cracking day in this beautiful part of the coastline ⛱️

Cracking few days at Kingscliff for Easter. Perfect weather, great company with the Travelling Tessiers and an awesome time. Couldn’t have asked for a better few days ☀️💦💕

When holidays can’t come quick enough. Daydreaming of when we can get back in the van and hit the road for Easter. Northern NSW here we come for Round 1.

Travelling isn’t easy no matter what anyone says. But …. it’s awesome, a hell of a lot of fun, invigorating and exhilarating and each day is different.

We had planned our 4 week Nth Qld road trip a year in advance and we were so excited about it. I remember so many conversations with Ross about how much we were looking forward to this trip and all the things we would see and do.

Fast forward to 3 weeks before we were leaving and I broke my foot in a freak accident. Emotions were high and I thought that the chances of us still going were next to none ☹️

But thankfully we got the green light from the surgeon as long as I stayed off my foot and rested it as much as possible. Not the easiest thing to do on a road trip with 6 stops, long car trips and in a caravan 😳

But we made it happen. I was still non weight bearing, in pain and relying on everyone to do everything for me. How did I think going away in a caravan for 4 weeks was going to work?

I’d be lying if I said it was easy and it was the holiday we had planned. It was hard and some days were harder than others. Climbing up the caravan steps on your bottom several times a day was interesting 😂 But we persevered and we got through it and ended up having an awesome holiday. One full of memories still, just different ones. And really that’s all that matters.

I was determined not to let my foot and the boot stop me from making memories. I made it my mission to make the holiday as normal as possible despite the pressure we were all under. I swam at every beach and pool (thanks Ross for piggy backing me up and down the beach to make this happen more times than I can count on my hands), I snorkelled at Great Keppel and during our Whitehaven Beach day trip, I scooted or hopped around the caravan parks on my knee scooter or crutches like a boss 😜 and spent plenty of time relaxing with my boot off in front of the pool. We still made stuff happen.

It was hard but it was also invigorating in a way I never imagined. We accomplished plenty despite the challenges facing us and that’s an awesome feeling.

So happy we didn’t give up and we still went despite the challenges facing us. The trip was still awesome and we had a great time. Exactly what travelling is all about 🙌🏻

COOBERRIE PARK

Holiday is over but so many great memories still to share 🥰

Spent the day at feeding kangaroos and patting koalas while Lillie and Macie took part in a Junior Zoo Keeper program (photos to come).

Loved holding a Koala for the first time and having Elsie there with me until the Koala grabbed her hat and scared her 🤣

Thanks Cooberie Park Wildlife Sanctuary for the awesome day out whilst holidaying at Yeppoon.

What an experience 🐊 at Koorana Crocodile Farm

Was so awesome to see these huge Crocs in the flesh and hold a baby Croc. Some big beauties here. The team were so knowledgeable and we walked away understanding so much more about these animals that scare the death out of me.

EMU PARK ✨

Took a trip out to this little quaint town after hearing lots of great things about the place. We surely weren’t disappointed!!

Itinerary included the Singing Ship monument in honour of Captain Cook discovering this part of Australia in 1770 and the Anzac Court War Memorial walk along the boardwalk which takes in beautiful views of the Islands.

Lovely little town with beautiful views 😍
