☀️Bunuru is in full swing! The Noongar season of adolescence (or second summer), is the time when white flowering gums (Wandoo) enter full bloom - a stunning sight throughout Gidgegannup, and the Perth Hills.

Look up and you're sure to see buzzing bees and the majestic Black Cockatoos enjoying the delicate flowers.

🪨 The mystical Boulder Rock is hidden amongst Midgegooroo National Park's beautiful bushland. It's awe-inspiring any time of day or night. Here's how to find it 👇

🚗 DRIVE east along Brookton Highway, through Karagullen. The rock is found about 8.5kms past the Chevin Rd turnoff. You can see "Boulder Rock" on Google Maps.

🌳 WALK There's no car park or formal pathway. We suggest you find a safe spot to park on the right side of Brookton Hwy and the rock is a short wander from the road, for those with reasonable fitness.

📸OUR TIP - this spot is incredible for night photography and spotting the Milky Way.

🌿 Always leave no trace.

The plump, ripe Bickley Valley grapes have been harvested, which means the Bickley Harvest Festival is back very soon! Now in its 26th year, the festival spotlights the region's finest wine, cider, spirits, beer, fresh produce, dining, scenery, and attractions, only 35 minutes from Perth and a 5-minute drive from Kalamunda.

Visit the boutique cellar doors of the Bickley Valley, Carmel and Pickering Brook. Plus, they’ll be oodles of our famous Perth Hills hospitality, local art, live music, tours and more. The celebrations continue throughout May, with exclusive events across the much-loved vineyards and venues.
