Kaizen and Fuji, our baby Peahens, were hatched at Christmas time and are now learning to free range on the farm. Each morning we carry them out of the brooder box to spend the day outside. They still like to come in at the end of each day.

The estate sits on the edge of Lake Jindabyne, opposite the magnificent Kosciuszko National Park in the heart of the Snowy Mountains.

Lake Jindabyne Estate embraces small scale tourism offering boutique private, self contained accommodation for a maximum of 12 guests. Boasting rustic stone and reclaimed timber finishes, each chalet has a fireplace, dishwasher, laundry and all the mod cons, whilst the luxury guest house offers a sweddish spa, sauna, gym and billiards table.

With amazing access to the Lake, National Parks and native wildlife, guests can relax and enjoy the panoramic views and tranquillity of Lake Jindabyne from the comfort of their living room. The more adventurous can try seasonal activities such as trout fishing, kayaking or exploring the highlands on foot or mountain biking. In the depths of winter, the estate is only 45 minutes drive to Australia's best ski resorts Perisher and Thredbo. Private Tennis courts and other activities are also available onsite.

Sally and Gordon are active members of Laoko Snowy Mountains Wildlife Rescue. Committed to the welfare and preservation of native wildlife and their habitat, they care and rehabilitate native orphaned wildlife, ensuring they have the best chance of recovery to return back to the wild. Guests are welcome to assist with bottle feeding our Joey Kangaroos and Wallabies.
