Next year this will fall on a Saturday, and to celebrate, I'm proposing a picnic for the children of Kempton and their families, on the lawns of St Mary's Community Cemetery Kempton. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100080146848719
Whilst nothing is locked in, I am hoping to help raise funds for the site, and hopefully get some sponsorships to help make this a fun event. (I'm looking at you Old Kempton Distillery/ Mood Food/ Huntington Tavern)
Bear in mind, I have just come up with this idea and have not yet approached the St Mary's custodians about this yet.
Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Anyone up for a ghost tour for Friday the 13th of October?
We start at the Huntington Tavern, 6 for 6:30pm, with dinner together, then we venture out into the night at approximately 7:30.
Dress for the weather and feel free to bring a small torch.
This tour is (almost) family friendly, but may not suit young children due to the content and the walking involved.
Tour $25 per head, same price if you don't have a head.
Food at menu prices.

SORELL RAILWAY CARRIAGE SHED RESTORATION - WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Contractors are currently undertaking works to repair and restore the Carriage Shed in Station Lane to ensure its long term structural integrity. The Railway Carriage Shed is permanently registered as a place of heritage significance to Tasmania and is listed on the Tasmanian Heritage Register.
The sheets of corrugated iron on the north wall are in a very poor state and can’t be re-used. Using new iron isn’t the preferred option as we want to retain as much heritage authenticity as possible. We are putting out the call in the hope there may be locals in our community who have old corrugated iron we could use to help us achieve this. If you think you can help us with this important heritage project, please get in touch! You can call our Project Engineer, Anthony Walters on 6269 0000 during business hours.
