Low-lying parts of TWEED HEADS, TWEED HEADS WEST, TWEED HEADS SOUTH, BANORA POINT, CHINDERAH, FINGAL, BILAMBIL, SEAGULLS - EVACUATE NOW ⚠️⚠️

NSW SES is directing people in low lying parts of Chinderah, Fingal Head, Bilambil, Banora Point, Seagulls Estate and low-lying parts of Tweed Heads to evacuate the high danger area to higher ground.

Once floodwater passes 1.6 metres on the Barneys Point gauge at Chinderah roads will begin to close.

- KINGSCLIFF TAFE

Flood Emergency Advice issued for Northern Rivers NSW SES

UNPRECEDENTED FLOODING IN THE NORTHERN RIVERS

NSW SES HAVE DECLARED THAT AREAS IN THE NORTHERN RIVERS NEED TO IMMEDIATELY TAKE STEPS FOR THEIR SAFETY.

You should immediately move to the highest safest place now, such as higher ground or inside a sturdy multi story building as high above water levels as possible. Move away from floodwaters as best you can. Do not enter flood water.

THIS FLOOD EVENT IS AN EXTREME RISK TO LIFE.

IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES TO GET TO EVERYONE.

MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
