DNSW IN REGION
Last week Destination NSW, with representatives from marketing, digital, regional, product and trade teams, were in region for a strategic workshop with TTC and Tweed Shire Council to discuss DNSW's partnership role with RTOs.

DNSW also enjoyed an immersive Walk On Country experience with Banaam, lunch in the sunshine at Cubby Bakehouse and a farm tour and farm-to-plate dinner at Farm & Co Kingscliff. Many thanks to all involved.

🎄 VOLLIE CHRISTMAS PARTY 🎄

Today our lovely Vollies were treated to a tour, tasting and lunch at Tropical Fruit World for their 2024 Volunteer Christmas Party. We can't do what we do without our passionate team of Visitor Information Centre volunteers who share their love and knowledge of the region with visitors every day. A huge thank you for your amazing work!

Last week, TTC’s Nicole Silburn hosted a group of US media on a familiarisation trip of the region delivered by Destination NSW.

The group, which included writers, influencers, and TV hosts, explored some of the area's top attractions, including Tropical Fruit World, Husk Farm Distillery, and Halcyon House.

We look forward to sharing the outcomes of this famil.

Congratulations to Shepherd’s Purse Theatre Company who have been honored with the NSW Government Community Service Award—the first theatre company in NSW to receive this recognition! 🎭✨

This award celebrates their outstanding contributions to the Tweed Shire, fostering unity, resilience, and cultural pride through immersive Shakespearean productions.

Was great to see everyone who joined us at the Tweed Tourism Christmas Party last night to celebrate the festive season and the end of another big year.

Many thanks to No.35 Cabarita for hosting us and for the amazing food, to Keri from Cabarita Spirits for the refreshing welcome drink, Lee for the sweet tunes, The Beach Cabarita Apartments for the generous lucky door prize, and Rachael Glendinning who joined us from Tourism Australia for her update and support of this event.

With Summer holidays just around the corner todays event, Meet The Tweed, provided a fantastic opportunity for tour and attraction operators to discuss packaging and update accommodation decision makers and front of house staff on their product offering.
