The villas are having slight improvements with a new watering system installed. It will make a huge difference to our garden and lawns. Some of the aging plants will be replaced which will really improve the avenue.

So the pavers arrived this morning and Handyman Mick was ready to start work laying them. Bryan is delighted with the result so far but more will happen tomorrow to finish the job.

This delightful group of friends from Adelaide are staying with us for a few nights and are about to drive down to the west end to visit Remarkable Rocks and Admurals Arch.

Our property has 17 villas, 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom. Opposite the ocean and close to the Main Street. Love our views, both night and day.

Our Villas have been heavily booked for months now and there are no vacancies for Easter. Our staff have been working flat out and Bryan and I really appreciate their assistance in making sure all villas are ready for the next influx of guests. Thanks to our Asst Manager and Head Housekeeper Merridy for her dedication to this business and for her care of us! Love you. This morning all 6 staff were gearing up with trolleys and ready to go.

We have 2 Associations with us for 2 nights, Hills Cricket Association and Great Southern Cricket Association playing in an inter association carnival. They will be playing in Kingscote, Parndana and Wissanger over the next few days. Delightful weather for the players.

I had the pleasure of spending time with these 3 gorgeous little ones who have been with us for quite some time. They had a great time riding their bikes up and down and loved to chat as Bryan and I moved around the property. They were staying in the villa opposite ours so we chatted with them on many occasions. Milana and Azalia were delightful but as Romeo was so young the girls were old enough to be outside on their own but He had to remain inside. They watched us hose out bins this morning and as Bryan hosed our kitchen window enjoying the occasional sprinkling of water. I invited them in to meet both Tash and Reuben but to find Tash they were on their stomachs on the floor chatting to her under the bed. I will really miss these delightful little ones.

These lovely friends from Adelaide are with us for 8 nights and are off to Dudley Winery for lunch today. They have hired 2 mini buses to transport them all around the island. A lovely group.

Such a busy place at the villas right now with so many workers here to make improvements and repairs on our beautiful island. Just love the trucks.

Oh no, our delightful families are leaving us this morning. So great to have them with us for the 3 days.
Many have checked out this morning but their rooms will be filled again this afternoon. Our housekeepers are working flat out with very little time off. Thank you Vic Marshall, Harley Marshall, Sue Ruge, Robyn Russell and Zac Russell, you are an awesome team and we really appreciate all that you do for us and the villas.

It has been a delight to have this family of three generations staying with us over Easter. To see the mums and dads along with their children playing and chatting outside their villas has confirmed our hopes for this property. We shut the gates for the little one's safety and one of the fathers took on the role of gate opener (despite all guests having a remote).
We were shown pictures of a huge fish caught on a fishing charter and one couple celebrated a birthday at The Enchanted Fig Tree which they really enjoyed. I am sure that they have had a wonderful time on KI.

Another beautiful day on KI. Lunch at KI Spirits Mexican Style and an awesome coffee. Gave the gin a big miss.

We have given our 5 housekeepers the day off after a very hectic time for them. They are an amazing team who work together so well and we really appreciate all they do for us and the villas.

We have a full house over the Easter period and it's great to see the young families outside their villas and enjoying their stay with us.

The first half of our awesome wall art has been placed in 7 villas with the second half about to be placed on order thanks to Dean Wiles.
Our gardens look incredible after hours of work by our two gardeners. The dreaded spikey bushes have been removed, new bark has been added and now it's the decision of what to replace the removed plants with.
The Easter period is totally booked out and it doesn't slow down until a few weeks afterwards. Our wonderful housekeeping staff will be flat out with just one day off during the holiday period but with Bryan and myself stripping the rooms before they arrive helps them out so they can get started.
Thank you to all who help make Villas on the Bay the wonderful accommodation that we have strived to achieve.

Many thanks to Dean Wiles for the beautiful wall art that he has provided for us. We love them all. Bryan and I wanted to show our guests how beautiful KI is and with these stunning canvases, I think we have achieved that.

This morning Bryan and I farewelled 29 Chinese guests from Camberwell Victoria. A hectic few days and a BBQ Sat night in our communal room. Salads galore and the hungry frenzy began. "More salad more salad" so another 3 were quickly whipped up.

Our housekeeping staff are now looking extra special in uniforms.

Bryan has been at it again! I now have beautiful pull out drawers in my pantry which will make life so much easier for me and yesterday he put together 2 metal cupboards for the shed. This will hold the perishables etc so that all will be together for the staff's use. Next project is to build cupboards along the side of the garage. The timber has been purchased so there's no stopping him once he starts.
After a few quiet days we will have guests in 10 villas by the end of the day.
