Silverton, in the far west of New South Wales, is a small but intriguing town that boasts some fascinating Aussie stories, art and scenery.

The town has a complex and interesting history which is told through stories from the Traditional Owners, the Wiljakali people, as well as the early European settlers and a rush of optimistic silver miners in the 1800s.

These days it's almost a ghost town, with a population of around 50 people. But it continues to make an impression, with the remote location and deserted landscapes featured on the silver screen in Mad Max 2 and A Town Like Alice.

It's the kind of place we love to introduce to our guests. We always enjoy meeting some of the local artists at their quirky galleries before lunch and a cold drink at the famous Silverton Hotel.

Silverton is featured on our 3-day Broken Hill Adventure Air Tour, but would also be a great addition to a bespoke trip focusing on the outback, regional art, or Australian history.

The Caravan family is renowned around the world for its large cabin, versatility, and ability to land at almost any airstrip. From the highlands of PNG to the northern territories of Canada, you’ll find Caravans visiting places no other aeroplanes of its size can.

The Grand Caravan EX offers panoramic views to passengers, with a high wing and large windows allowing an uninterrupted view of the horizon in all directions. Configured in club seating (seats facing each other), you’ll be able to stretch out with ease while enjoying the adventure with your travelling companion opposite. Seating is leather finished and comfortable, with headrests to ensure you have a comfortable journey.

A healthy catch from the beautiful waters of Bremer Island 🙌

Featured on our Cape York & Northern Islands Air Tour, Bremer Island is a breathtaking piece of paradise near NT's Arnhem Lands. It's a picture-perfect spot to relax and enjoy the white sand, turquoise waters and perfectly placed hammocks.

Keen anglers will have a chance to wet a line and catch some of the abundant Spanish Mackerel and Tuna that abound in the waters where the Gulf of Carpentaria meets the Arafura Sea.

Cape York Air Safari | Over the last couple of days we have been discovering Longreach, with visits to the Stockmans Hall of Fame and the Qantas Founders Museum. Last night we had a very special dinner on a local station in the old shearing shed! Many great memories have been made on this trip, with many more to come ✈️ 🤠 🌅
