Our Story
Isabella at Kyneton is a charming, comfortable Victorian house in the center of Kyneton township in the Macedon Ranges just a one-hour drive from Melbourne. This deluxe, fully self-contained cottage has maintained a Four Star rating (Self Contained) since 2005 and was also awarded Eco Accreditation from Star Ratings Australia in 2014. Built in the 1890’s, Isabella at Kyneton retains her original charm while providing the modern comforts that make our guests’ stay relaxing and memorable. Step through the front gate and you will be greeted by a garden laden with old-fashioned roses. Open the front door and original polished floorboards and twelve-foot high ceilings will entice you in. Isabella has been gracefully decorated to accentuate her period features while keeping in mind your comfort. Her three generous bedrooms can sleep up to six guests and the house is fully self-contained assuring privacy. Isabella at Kyneton was originally purchased in 2002 by Dianne and Adrian Padgham as our weekender. However in 2005 we decided to share our passion for our property and the fabulous regional experience with our guests as a destination, not just as accommodation and accordingly “Isabella at Kyneton” was opened. We still book ourselves in on regular basis to enjoy the Isabella and Macedon Ranges experience.
