We had a visit from a local stick insect today on the GlamVan doormat. I don't know if our insect buddy wanted to book in or just check out the campsite.
Insects also love glamping.

It’s wildflower season in the Grampians (Gariwerd). Here is a small example of the magnificent flowers in all their glory at this time of year.

The Gariwerd season cycle has six distinct weather periods. We are currently in Petyan (Spring), September - November, which brings warmer days, stormy weather, and the bush bursts into life which means the bees are buzzing, the frogs are belting out a chorus, and the reptiles are back out basking in the sun.

If you would like to learn more about indigenous weather for this region and others, there is a brilliant resource available on the BOM website (Bureau of Meteorology)

If you love the great outdoors and Australian natural beauty, I highly recommend the Grampians (Gariwerd) Peak Trail. The trail officially opened in 2021. I recently had the joy of walking the northern section, Mount Zero to Halls Gap - 4 days, 3 nights.

Shout out to the Grampians Peaks Walking Company. Their team provided excellent service from start to finish. I'm looking forward to doing the central and southern expeditions with them.

The GlamVan is only a couple of minutes drive from Mount Zero, so easy access to get out there and explore. Or if you prefer to observe, you can kick back by the fire and admire the views of Mount Zero from the campsite 😁

We welcome Dusty to the GlamVan team. Although just an apprentice, she has shown excellent skills in the area of ball chasing and, more importantly, bringing the ball back.

Eddie has been promoted to 2IC and looks forward to training his new apprentice. Or he will once she stops trying to crew his tail.
