Today Gemini Full Moon reminds us of the importance of being aware of what is happening right under our nose and not mistaking a belief for a fact. While the Sun in Sagittarius encourages us to stay connected with our personal truth, the Moon in Gemini reminds us that everything is relative and that our truth isn’t the only truth.

In the sign of the Twins, the Full Moon is an opportunity to become aware of ways of thinking, perceiving the world, and communicating that don’t serve our highest good, that deplete us, disempower us, and keep us stuck. The Gemini Full Moon is an invitation to deepen our understanding of how our upbringing, education, and culture continue to shape our mindset, worldviews, and perceptions. It is an opportunity to remember that our mind is meant to be a tool we have full control over, not something we are enslaved by. Moon Omens

Why do we have superstitions?
Superstitions have a fascinating history, with many (like the fear of the number 13), being so long-lasting that the definitive origin of the fear has been lost. However, the short version of why superstitions persist is because they make us feel safer.

The world is complex, and many of us are fundamentally aware of the fact that we are not in control of a lot of what goes on around us (weather, other people, traffic, world events etc.). This means that things can go wrong without warning and without us having much say in the matter. That is an overwhelming and frightening reality, that most of us don’t want to acknowledge in our daily lives.

Superstitions are ways to try and gain back control over the uncontrollable. If I avoid breaking a mirror, I can avoid bad luck. If I carry a four-leafed clover, good things might happen. If I believe that ‘bad things come in threes’, I feel like I know something of what to expect and prepare for. All of these are ways for us to feel more protected and safe in our environment. In this, they are similar to a common psychological concept, ‘safety behaviours’.

The holidays pepper you with pumpkin spice promises and candy cane kisses. They romance you—showering you with glitter, garlands, and…also anxiety.

Yes, folks, none of us are immune. Family and financial issues, traveling, and breaks in our normal routines can send us spiraling…Luckily for us, at any moment we can open the best gift of all. What is this magical present? It’s yoga, of course. It’s our year-round gift to ourselves that, when taken out of its pretty box, can make all the stressors a bit more tolerable. And maybe if we keep using it, we become a bit more tolerable too.

Reflection happens when you quieten the mind. I have had plenty over that the past few days down with the flu.
I reflected on fun times, loss, love, feelings of excitement, places I’ve travelled, but the deepest reflection was with My son, he shared a documentary he watched : IBELIN ; The secret life of a young World of Warcraft gamer is vividly reimagined when his online friends contact his family after his death.
Mats Steen, a Norwegian gamer, died of a degenerative muscular disease at the age of 25. His parents mourned what they thought had been a lonely and isolated life, when they started receiving messages from online friends around the world. They were unaware that Mats had long been leading a vibrant digital life that had left a profound impact on a community of fellow gamers.
It made me stop and think about how our children escape through games and fantasy, not unlike fancy dress and pen paling with strangers.
Connection, love, compassion shone through this documentary and it touched both our hearts watching it.
Reflections : a child to a man - bond still strong -
My deepest reflection a mothers love, a bond never broken ❤️

Stepping into nature …
Nature employs the mind without fatigue and yet enlivens it. Tranquilizes it and enlivens it. And thus, through the influences of the mind over body, gives the effect of refreshing rest and reinvigoration to the whole system.

Peak pose today Friday was Bow Pose ; this can be challenging … warming the body with cobra, locust, & upward facing dog pose, finishing in child’s pose.
👇
In Dhanurasana, the various parts of your body—hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders on the upper body and feet, ankles, knees, and hips on the lower body—work together to simultaneously stretch your entire front side and strengthen your back.
👇
To continue with the bow analogy, when you reach for your ankles with your arms, the string tighten the bow, which stretches as it resists the action, explains Ray Long, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and yoga instructor.
In the drawings below, pink muscles are stretching and blue muscles are contracting. The shade of the color represents the force of the stretch and the force of contraction. Darker = stronger.✨

Easy pose with cow face arms works your triceps, your rotator cuff and your upper back as well as chest muscles, sitting in easy pose also calms the mind and keeps your hips mobile. Have a great Tuesday Leanne 🙏
