Bridport turned it on and it was HOT 🥵 the rain cleared and the cars and people rolled in thick and fast.
Well done to the organisers for another great show in a beautiful location 👏

Remembering the Tasman Bridge disaster.

Today, 50 years will have passed since the Tasman Bridge disaster, when the MV Lake Illawarra collided into the Tasman Bridge.

A number of activities will take place across Hobart.
Visit the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery to see On the Edge, an exhibition featuring the two cars that were fortunate enough to escape the disaster, Held in TMAG’s courtyard, the exhibition runs from Friday, 3 January to Sunday, 12 January 2025.

As a moment of reflection for the lives lost, the Tasman Bridge will be CLOSED to all traffic for three minutes, at the approximate time of impact from 9:27 pm to 9:30 pm on Sunday, 5 January 2025.

Feature lighting will be dimmed on the bridge to dark blue between piers 17 and 19 from 9:27 pm to 9:57 pm on Sunday, 5 January 2025, to signify the area of impact. Feature lighting at this section will return to bright white from 9:58 pm onwards.

Frank has been doing interviews with multiple media outlets in the lead up to the anniversary, including a large one with SBS World news, which will be on between 6:30 - 7:30 tonight. So keep an eye out out on the TV 🙂

Well friends, it’s almost time for the bearded fat man to arrive. I hope you’re all done and dusted with your shopping and festive preparations.
Christmas can be a crazy time of year for some and looks different for everyone. For us it’s a time to appreciate and enjoy all those simple pleasures that we forget about sometimes.

Car show season is in full swing. There are multiple events happening throughout Tassie. Where are you heading this weekend?

Some of the club members took a couple cars to the first annual Timeless Beauties in Longford last weekend. It was a well thought out show that will grow in the coming years.

Day 2- 🔥 Scrutineering & Meet and Greet 🔥

It was a sea of Monaro’s at the second day of scrutineering. Watching all the cars roll in is a favourite amongst the other entrants.
There was a stir when the No. 1 HK Monaro off the production line, arrived at the close of scrutineering.
The Monaro Nationals was officially kicked off at Meet & Greet with huge soirée. Congratulations to the Monaro Club of Victoria for a fantastic night.
