Christian and Laura operate horse riding tours out Mansfield in the High Country. They offer both daily trail rides and unique overnight rides including pack horse fishing trips, extended High Country rides and the ever popular Craig’s Hut ride, an area made famous by the ‘Man from Snowy River’ films. They have a reputation for scenic horse riding and healthy, sturdy bush horses. Hidden Trails are

well renowned for their bush cooking including camp oven roasts, dampers and puddings all done over the campfire. Christian was a chef for many years working under some of Melbourne’s best including celebrity chef Guy Grossi. As the snow settles on the mountains Hidden Trails heads for the Kimberley for the winter; they love the contrast from the mountains to the untamed Kimberley country. They operate the station horseback tours at the famous El Questro Wilderness Park. El Questro Station is located in the east Kimberley and totals one million acres in size.

With the added bonus of having a drink in our very own Barrel House Bar at the end of the day or saying hello to our beautiful stallion Ben & future mountain horses!

Meet Whitfield, this is Penty and Amalia’s younger, much bigger brother!
Anyone in the market for a BIG horse!?
Swamp sold Whitfield to QLD as a youngster and since been started.
Whitfield is by our stallion Ben (Percheron, Clyde, Stock Horse cross) out of ‘Lottie’ who is a Clydie x TB mare, Lottie was one of our working trek horses in the early days.
This whole line of horse have had the most beautiful temperament!

One out of the box! Yesterday we helped pull off the perfect high country wedding where the bride didn’t actually know she was a bride!
We headed off, for what Frankie thought was a half day ride over Mt Stirling, only to be surprised & greeted by her close friends and family & a celebrant at the summit of Mt Stirling.
It was Frankie & Wayne’s perfect day surrounded by their close friends, family and a mob of horses. We managed to get the most perfect, crystal clear day to soak up the spectacular mountain backdrop.
We then headed back to our property, Stirling Homestead for dinner at the bar, thanks Lou for cooking up a storm with her trusty sidekick Gwen!
Big thank you to the celebrant Cheryl Warry, Steve Marshall of High Country Scenic Tours & the Crowe girls to help pull off this special day for Wayne and Frankie! 🙌
