Great weather for flying lately. 2 lovely couples today, first flight our Wonnangatta Mysteries with Peter & Elizabeth here at Craig’s Hut and later lunch on the banks of the Howqua River. Then we had Jacob & Eva on their first chopper flight with VIP pick-up from Mansfield Glamping with a stunning backdrop.

Love surprises, yesterday afternoon’s pick up from a family farm for a first time in a helicopter bride accompanied by her father to make a grand entrance for 110 guests at the Delatite Winery.

With great flying conditions over the 🇳🇿day weekend, it was great to be up at Craig’s Hut for a wedding proposal for a lovely couple followed by another surprise for the young lady with a hot drop at our local Delatite Winery to celebrate with family and friends. A Birds Eye view of the local car show. Later that afternoon we flew a model into an exclusive high end property for a video production with a hint of “Rockstar” appeal.

Helicopters need washing just like cars do, but no drive through options for us. A top to bottom wash takes about 2 hours and up high on a ladder.

Hi everyone, we have had some wild weather the last couple of weeks, lots of rain, thunderstorms moving in on some afternoons and some crazy winds associated with those storms meant some cleaning up at our local airstrip. Lake Eildon sitting at 99% of capacity. My job as a pilot is also to study the weather forecasts and pick the best opportunities to fly. The country side is looking fantastic, so much greener than normal and the wild flowers in the High Country are looking fantastic. Here’s a few photos taken on a Rooftop tour recently, wildflowers at Craig’s Hut, the Dandongadale Falls in good flow and some cloud tumbling over The Crosscut Saw behaving like a waterfall as the moist cold airflow hits the top of the Great Dividing Range.

Happy New Year folks. I do a fair amount of posts on my personal page, but I’m the first to plead guilty that I’ve been a bit slack on my helicopter page. Anyway 2024 I promise to put more up. So to kick off last Wednesday was a surprise flight for Teresa’s 50th birthday with her bestie Nat. As if the flight wasn’t enough, about 12 of her family who got out of bed early and secretly drove up to Craig’s Hut and appeared at the perfect time while the birthday girl was in the hut. I love being part of a surprise plan👍
