What a busy school holidays! Stoked to have the juniors here in learning some vital rescue skills and tips with yours truly, as well as a host of people from around the globe. I guess people want to try something different whilst they’re here!

Sometimes it’s hard to describe what’s going on but my old mate pops up to catalogue our adventures. Today was awesome, a rising swell on a rising tide meant more movement across the channel. It pushes us into the cove which is exactly where you want to be 💪🏽👌🏽. Luckily people trust me when I say just go!❤️

How times change! 30 years ago I was the chief lifeguard for the state . We had 2 lifeguards in the southwest based at smiths. The local shires and Parks and Wildlife didn’t think public safety was a priority! Fast forward another 20 years. The state gov put money into a dedicated coastal rescue chopper for the region which I was involved in for many years as a rescue crewman. And now, another 10 years later this January, I had the privilege of teaching over 120 young lifesavers from clubs all over the state new lifesaving skills using our coasteering adventure as the backdrop! 😊

Posted • Challenge yourself! Absolutely one of the highlights of our trip. The only coasteering experience in Australia. Cam is an ex-heli rescuer in WA who has his own business taking small groups on this adventure.

He guided us as we scrambled along the coast line of the Indian ocean and jumped off cliffs! We bobbed in and out of the tides and let the swell take us in and out!

Once in a lifetime experience 🌊🧗‍♀️🏊🏻‍♀️

Theres been a couple of people getting swept off the rocks near where we do our coasteering adventures over the past fortnight. Stay safe
🌊dont get too close to the edge
🌊if the rocks are wet thats a sign that a wave has been here recently
🌊 a cubic metre of water (thats a big esky/cooler)weighs a metric tonne. Waves are powerful
🌊dont risk it for the selfie
