Absolutely one of our favourite places. Highly recommended!

It's our farm rasied lamb that's at the heart of what we do here at Glenarty Road. Sheep farming at the Mcdonald farm traces back over 50 years and today, lamb is a big part of our Glenarty Road food offering.

Our chefs cleverly prepare each cut using the best butchery and cookery methods, including the woodfire that farmer Ben built using recycled materials from across the farm.

Come and join us to experience true paddock to plate dining, which includes our delicious grass fed lamb.

Richly deserved! 🥂❤️👏

The Margaret River Region has taken out yet another impressive award! This time it's won ‘Favourite Travel Destination of the Year’ at the inaugural Spirited Singapore Awards.

It was a tough competition with Bangkok, California, Jeju, and Tokyo all vying for the title, but the Margaret River Region came out on top. With its breathtaking scenery plus world-renowned vineyards and wine-tasting rooms, it is easy to see why.

As Spirited Singapore’s business lead, Aaron Kong, points out, “Fine wine, good food, beautiful sights and great hospitality; what is there not to like?” We could not agree more!

Fascinating and truly shows how amazing this region is

One of the things we talk about a lot on the Discovery Tour is how unique the vine growing soils are in Margaret River region.

Margaret River Wine Industry Association has released this awesome map and fabulous article by soil guru Leah Clearwater.

"The incredible explanation behind the ever-changing nature of Margaret River’s geological landscape is its ancient history, with soils that are dated the oldest of all the Earth’s viticultural areas."

Definitely worth a read if you want a better understanding of what makes Margaret River wines so special!
