**Cape Conran Boat Ramp: A Gateway to East Gippsland's Waters**

The Cape Conran boat ramp has recently undergone significant upgrades, enhancing accessibility and safety for all boating enthusiasts looking to explore the stunning waters of East Gippsland. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Parks Victoria, local contractor McInnes Earthmoving, and funding from the Victorian Government’s Better Boating Victoria (BBV) initiative, the facility is now better than ever.

The recent construction has introduced several key improvements designed to make launching and retrieving boats smoother and more efficient. The ramp now features a new concrete surface that extends into the water, providing a more reliable and durable platform for all types of watercraft. The adjacent jetty has been lengthened, offering ample space for boaters to tie up as they prepare to head out onto the water or return from their adventures.

One of the standout features of the upgrade is the expanded turning apron. This larger concrete space allows for easier manoeuvring of trailers, making the process of backing down to launch or retrieve your boat less stressful and more straightforward. Additionally, the enhanced retaining wall promises increased durability and safety, ensuring the ramp remains in top condition through varying weather and usage conditions.

Safety has also been a priority in the upgrades. A previously hazardous area of offshore rocks is scheduled to be clearly marked in the upcoming year, improving navigation and reducing risks for all who venture out from Cape Conran.
