This is your friendly reminder we are transitioning to Wholesale Hardwood very very soon ! As of the 1st of December :
Whole packs available only, no single pieces. 🪵
You cannot access our sawmill unless you have called prior but we prefer emails/texts/phone calls to limit public access around our yard.
Please consider Thursdays for any order collections.

Focusing on fencing and landscaping material with a small side of building (pending sizes). 🗂️
If you have a large building order over a certain $$ we will consider the order but small orders won’t be accepted sorry.

While we transition over to whole packs we will have loose bits of timber, please contact us if you do need a small amount and we may be able to help with our open pack leftovers ☺️
Dunnage / reject timber is available also in packs.

! Important info !

We are no longer taking special orders for hardwood.

We are no longer selling in small quantities to the public.

As of the 30th November 2024 Stutz Sawmill will only be wholesaling hardwood in packs to customers who require fencing material & the odd building range in WHOLE packs.
We understand that there is a huge demand in hardwood at the moment but unfortunately, we cannot keep cutting special orders the way we are doing it.
Hardwood will be sold in bulk packs – for example a pack of posts such as 56 @ 100 x 75 – 2.4m or a pack of rails such as 60 @ 75 x 38 -4.8m will be available for purchase from Stutz Sawmill. We will not be opening packs for anything less than the total qty.
The gates will be shut but the phones are on for calls and emails you have in regards to timber.
Please reach out if you have a special order, you need cut prior to the 30th November and we will have that available as soon as possible!
We have loved servicing our local customers their hardwood orders and special requirements but its time to focus on our Sawmill as a wholesale yard and our rough sawn decking.
If you are interested in stocking hardwood for retail sales please reach out as we would be happy to connect with retailers in the area to stock our timber and refer our customers on. The hardwood demand in our area is huge so we will be sure to keep you updated if we find someone.

Experience preferred but not essential
Must have – A chainsaw ticket & experience on a chainsaw.
A loader ticket & HC Truck license is highly regarded.
Duties include: Landing work, Snigging & Harvester Operations.
Must work well within a team & alone.
Ongoing, fulltime work for a potential employee who shows the right interest.

Job 2 : Truck Driver – Hardwood Logging Operations on the Fraser Coast.
Must have a HC license & logging experience preferred.
This job involves hauling logs with a jinker & float work.
Mechanical knowledge & a loader ticket is highly regarded.
Must work well within a team & alone.

A beautiful post and rail hardwood fence built by Thomsen Livestock & Contracting for our very own Shai in the office.
We supplied the rounds with a mixture of treated feature & landscape grade sleepers. A little bit more work to do, with a gate, some oil & gardens before its complete ✔️🪵

*Seeking a candidate with previous experience on a saw bench. *Ours is a “Grey”
*38 hours a week, Monday to Friday
*Hardwood Sawmilling
*Fulltime position for the right person
*Forklift & loader ticket is highly recommended and any other sawmilling experience.
*Not just benching but log yard work, timber stacking and truck loading/unloading opportunities are available for the rightly skilled worker within the mill.

About RB & MJ Stutz

With over 30 years in the Hardwood Logging & Hauling Industry, Rodney and Michelle Stutz stumbled across the opportunity for another business project being Stutz Sawmill. Lots of hard work and time were put in to get this Sawmill back on it’s feet and operational again after being shut down from previous owners. With the small family owned and run business, it’s booming before their eyes.

With all staff members running the mill, they run flat out all day everyday, from loading trucks with timber, sawdust & woodchip to packing and stacking timber etc. Many hours are spent perfecting customers timber orders to make sure they are receiving a product worth 100%.

Rodney has always been very passionate for hardwood timber after taking over from his dad, he has put in a lot of time and effort to have a very well looked after fleet of trucks and machinery. Sourcing his own timber and having timber cutters in to fall trees and have them loaded on to his trucks, this timber enters the sawmill daily.
