Last Music in the Park for this season. See you there!

Our final guest for the season, this Thursday February 29, Country blues songstress, Misty Harlowe is a rising star hailing from the hills of Victoria’s high country. Her music is inspired by her roots in Gippsland’s Snowy River region. As a natural storyteller with stories of the Australian landscape, she charms the audience with her sweet velvety voice, intricate guitar playing, and strong country melodies. If Marty Robbins and Stevie Nicks wrote a song together round a campfire, it would emulate Misty’s sound.
With her exceptional band on board, amplifying the energy, an unforgettable live performance is created. Misty has had the privilege of supporting renowned artists such as CW Stoneking, Josie Laver, and Shaun Kirk.
She has made appearances at notable festivals, including The Tamworth Country Music Festival, The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, Bruthen Blues Festival, The Tinamba Food & Wine Festival, Tasmania’s ‘Day at The Creek’ Festival and more. Additionally, she has embarked on numerous tours across Victoria and New South Wales, whilst regularly gracing Melbourne's stages.
Soaring to #4 on AMRAP charts for her debut track 'Run Me Down River,' her music has received extensive play on ABC radio. With a successful debut single tour under her belt and exciting new music in the pipeline, exciting times await this emerging songbird in the near future.
“Misty Harlowe is a must-see artist if you are a fan of country and blues-inspired music. An artist who performs with confidence in her ability Misty is a talent that is up and coming and definitely a must see.” - Real Songwriters of Melbourne
"Misty speaks to her audience in a way that makes them feel like they are the only person in the room. She is articulate, surprising and stunning." - Live at the Bundy

Introducing Stefanie Duzel to Burrengeen Park!
Stefanie Duzel was reluctant to give her music career any attention at all when she began recording her debut album in 2021. At the time she was knee-deep in navigating her pub/music venue, The Macedon Railway Hotel, through the pandemic before she and her business were devastated further by a fire that tore through the building.
Her hope was that by the time her album was complete, she would be in a better position both physically and emotionally to embrace it. Though ultimately the fire at the hotel saw the demise of her business, it opened the doors to new and exciting opportunities to pursue her music.
The album The Other Side (March 24th, 2023) was produced by Lachlan Bryan and Damian Cafarella, acclaimed producers, artists, musician in their own right. They’ve enabled Stefanie to bring ten songs to spirited life as an intoxicating mix of Americana, country and folk-rock, all with a soaring pop sensibility built into their DNA.
Stefanie has written for television and one of her songs, ‘Gone’, was recently recorded by Karise Eden, inaugural winner of The Voice Australia. She has also had the honor of playing support to such artists as Richard Clapton, Russell Morris, Tex Perkins, and Tim Rogers.
Don't miss this one, and you know the drill - BYO everything, even your chair. See you in Burrengeen Park, this Thursday, 6pm.

Our crew responded to this large tree hazard around 2pm today.

The Marysville-Woods Point Road was closed between Tommys Bend and Water Race Track while we worked with Police and Regional Roads Victoria to manage traffic and clear the tree. An excavator was needed due to the precarious position.

Heat stress, strong winds and rain all increase the likelihood of trees falling. As always, please stay alert for hazards on the road, and NEVER drive or stand under fallen trees.

Sorry to bombard you with posts - but it's better to know, right?

It's wet and rainy THIS THURSDAY, but don't let that put you off!! Beverly and Leigh Fraser with Percussionist Colin Shean will now be in the Lakeview Room at Marysville Community Centre. It's still in a park, it's just indoors and dry. Yes, you can still bring everything, but it might be easier to leave the chairs in the car.

Beverly and Leigh have been performing music together for over twenty years in duo’s and bands. Some of their work has incorporated wineries, restaurants, hotels, music festivals and more. A vast range of venues demands the ability to deliver a wide genre of music such as blues, rock, jazz, folk and popular music.
Beverly’s unique vocal range and ability to perform these different styles along with Leigh’s acoustic six string and slide guitar certainly place this duo in a league of its own.
Their performances can take you from a pin dropping moment, to rocking the house down. You won’t be disappointed!
