Throughout your journey you will enjoy the very best accommodation, cuisine and signature special touches that reinvigorate your body and soul. The yawning volcanic plateaus sweep wide and deep, crested by an imposing arc of ridges, cliffs and escarpments. Mountain peaks reach to the sky, punctuating the low-lying clouds and drifting mist. The plains and valleys are home to curious kangaroos and wallabies, dozing koalas and multitudes of small reptiles and mammals, while the cool rainforest canopy is filled with bird song.

As you walk into Spicers Amphitheatre, the sight of beautiful, modern architectural wooden cabins come gently into view. Nestled amongst the gum trees, seemingly like treehouses, the cabins’ light wooden panels, generous windows and corrugated iron rooves work in perfect sympathy with the peaceful background of the surrounding national park.

Each cabin features a two Spicers king single beds, a day bed, and a private balcony with a cavernous louvre window that opens up to the sounds and sights of the forest. Steaming hot showers and flushing toilets are found in two wash pavilions located near the cabins.

Experience the 4-day Scenic Rim Trail as a family and make lifelong memories. This tour is perfect for active families with kids who are 12+ (or experienced hikers) who enjoy spending time in the outdoors and are eager to learn about nature.

Enjoy walking to a new camp each night and discovering the wonders of the world heritage listed Gondwana rainforest. Small groups of maximum 12 with two experienced guides leading the way.

The recommendation is 12+ years however if you are an active family that hikes regularly, we may consider a younger age. Child pricing is 17 years and under at time of travel.

On the fourth day of our multi-day hike, you will emerge from the depths of the rainforest and encounter an ascent to Bare Rock. With our knowledgeable guides are there to aid and guide you, a quick scramble on all fours will lead you to the summit, where you can take in the breathtaking 360 degree views on a clear day.
