The deeper you venture into the forest, the more your inhales and exhales synchronize with the rhythm of nature as you leave behind the busy world.
Great Walks of Australia
Millions of years in the making. Of a time when volcanoes shaped the land, the Scenic Rim stands tall as one of the nation’s most dramatic and inspiring landscapes.
On the fourth day of our multi-day hike, you will emerge from the depths of the rainforest and encounter an ascent to Bare Rock. With our knowledgeable guides are there to aid and guide you, a quick scramble on all fours will lead you to the summit, where you can take in the breathtaking 360 degree views on a clear day.
Is there any better place to wake up?

Escape the Brisbane heat. Beneath the rainforest canopy of the #scenicrim, it can be up to 10 degrees cooler, making a difference when it's reaching 35°C in Brisbane most days! Our accommodation options are designed to make the most of this too, optimised for natural airflow.
After 12-15km of hiking each day, there's nothing quite like a high-pressure shower and plush Spicers mattress to come home to.
Our Summer Walk commences again with our first available departure on Tuesday 20 February, and our last on Monday 18 March. Our regular 2, 3, 4 & 6 Day walks resume from Tuesday 26 March.

And we haven't even got to the food yet.

The view from Bare Rock 😍
POV: You arrive at Spicers Timber Getters Eco Camp on Day three of the four-day walk.
Located on the site of a former logging campsite, this off-grid luxury camp pays subtle homage to its history and calmly celebrates its natural environment. Guests are immersed in the forest and will feel as much a part of the place as the local flora and fauna.
The cabins feature vivid charred exterior wood panelling, providing a dramatic contrast to the surrounding dark green Xanthorrhoea trees. Each cabin has a Spicers king bed, a private balcony with a cavernous louvre window that opens up to the sounds and sights of the forest.
Steaming hot showers and flushing toilets are found in two wash pavilions located near the cabins.

Taking in the view from Mount Mistake Farmhouse at the end of Day One is the perfect visual feast after the day's 700m ascent.
Regarding the words 'Ponder my mistake,' we'll let an article in the Australian Financial Review explain: 'A rustic swing in front of the homestead has the words “Ponder my Mistake” emblazoned on its seat; Turner admits she can often be found sitting there.'
